信心是什麼呢？聖經已經為我們清楚定義了信心。希伯來書11:1說：「信心是對所盼望的事有把握，對不能看見的事能肯定。」 　針對「信心」，這真是一個非常好的解釋！我們現在不能親眼看見上帝或天堂，但是我們知道他們就在那裡，而我們是怎麼知道的呢？因為上帝賜給我們信心，我們可以相信祂。 　許多人說上帝並不真實，因為我們不能看見祂。這並不是信心的表現，因為上帝已經賜給我們足夠的證據去相信祂，並且對祂有信心。上帝的話語很清楚地告訴我們，上帝是真實的並且與我們同在，耶利米書23:23說：「我是無所不在的上帝。」 　看看綠草、天空、樹木、花朵、動物和人們，一定有一位造物主創造了所有的這些事物，而誰是那位造物主呢？就是上帝！希伯來書3:4說：「每一所房子都是人所建造的，但是上帝創造萬物。」 　我們看不見上帝，但是祂已經給了我們足夠的證據，好讓我們對祂有信心。你要記住上帝是真實的並且會對我們信實，所以我們也要對祂有信心！—CPE* 「由於信心，我們知道宇宙是藉著上帝的話造成的；這樣，那看得見的是從那看不見的造出來的。」 希伯來書11:3 禱告：上帝，我對你有信心。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (KCC譯/台南聖教會英語團契)

What is faith? The Bible gives us a very clear definition of what faith is. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see.” 　That is a very good explanation of faith! We cannot see God or heaven now, but we know they are there. How do we know? Because God gives us faith. We can trust Him. 　Many people say God is not real because we cannot see Him. That is not faith. God has given us enough evidence to believe in Him and have faith in Him. God’s Word says clearly that God is real and He is with us. Jeremiah 23:23 says, “This message is from the Lord. ‘I am God, and I am always near. I am not far away.’” 　Look at the grass, sky, trees, flowers, animals and people. There had to be a Creator who made all those things. Who is the Creator? God! Hebrews 3:4 says, “Every house is built by someone, but God built everything.” 　We cannot see God, but He has given us enough proof to have faith in Him. Remember God is real and faithful to us. Have faith in Him, too! —CPE* “Faith helps us understand that God created the whole world by his command. This means that the things we see were made by something that cannot be seen.” Hebrews 11:3 PRAYER: God, I have faith in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
