聖經閱讀：腓立比書2:12-13 現代中譯本|合和本

　以利沙砍了一根枝子、丟進水裏，斧子的頭就浮了上來（列王紀下6:1-7）。以色列人繞行耶利哥城、吹著號角並大聲吶喊，然後城牆就倒塌了（約書亞記6:20）。
以上這兩個事件有什麼相同的地方呢？這兩者都是神蹟。在兩個事件中，上帝在惡劣的情況中，用祂的大能使情況變好。一般來說，用鐵作的斧頭不會浮在水面上，人繞著城走也不會讓城牆倒塌，但是當我們倚靠上帝來幫助我們時，奇妙的事就會發生。
今天經文閱讀的第13節提醒我們，上帝在我們的生命中動工，「上帝常常在你們心裡工作，使你們既願意又能夠實行他美善的旨意」(第13b節)。 基督徒和上帝是一個團隊，一起同工在上帝的國度裡成就大事！
今天就讓上帝在你的生命動工來尊貴祂、榮耀祂。 — BL

Elisha threw a stick into the water and a lost ax head floated to the top of the water (2 Kings 6:1-7). The Israelites marched around the city of Jericho, blowing trumpets and shouting, and the walls of the city fell down (Joshua 6:20). What do these two events have in common? They are both miracles. In each case, God took a bad situation and used His power to make it better. Normally, iron ax heads don't float on the water and people marching around a city do not cause walls to fall down. But when we depend on God to help us, wonderful things can happen.
Verse 13 of our Bible Reading reminds us that God works in our lives. “He helps you want to do what pleases him, and he gives you the power to do it” (verse 13b). God and Christians are a team, working together to make great things happen in His kingdom!
Allow God to work in your life today to bring honor and glory to Him. —BL

在今天的經文閱讀中，作者讓我看見友誼的重要性，他說人們一起同工是有益的：「兩個人總比一個人好，因為兩個人合作效果更好」（第9節）。 　當我讀這些經文時，我就想起很久以前有兩個結伴旅行的人，當他們徒步行走時，兩個人可以走得更遠；如果腳被絆到、跌倒了，他們也可以互相幫助。晚上睡覺時，他們可以相互取暖，如果遇到了危險，他們可以保護對方。然後作者接著說，三個人一起比兩個人更好，就像一條由三股合成、堅實有力的繩子。 　當想起我的許多朋友時，我就感到開心。有一些朋友曾經跟我一起工作，有很多朋友為我禱告、鼓勵我，當我身陷危險時，有一些朋友曾經保護我。 　上帝賜下許多朋友來祝福你，今天就感謝祂賜下幫助你、鼓勵你的人。 －JK 「三股合成的繩子是不容易拉斷的。」 傳道書4:12b 禱告：親愛的恩主，謝謝祢賜下很棒的朋友來祝福我。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

In our Bible verses today, the writer shows us the importance of friendship. He says that it is good when people work together. “Two people are better than one. When two people work together, they get more work done” (verse 9). 　As I read these verses, I think about two people traveling together long ago. As they walk, the two of them can get more work done. They can also help each other if they stumble and fall. When they sleep at night, they can keep each other warm. And if danger comes, they can defend each other. Then the writer goes on to say that three people together are even better than two. They are like a strong rope made of three strands. 　I feel happy when I think about my many friends. Some have worked with me. Many friends have prayed for me and encouraged me. A few friends have protected me when I was in danger. 　God has blessed you with friends. Thank Him today for people who help and encourage you. —JK “And three people are even stronger. 有些人認為教會只是一棟建築物，但是今天的經文告訴我們，教會是一個家，「這個家就是永生上帝的教會」（第15b節）。以弗所書5:25b告訴我們「基督愛教會，為教會捨命。」耶穌不是為一棟建築物而死！祂是為人們受死。 　第15b節經文同時告訴我們教會的目的：「這個家就是永生上帝的教會，是真理的柱石和基礎。」什麼是真理呢？真理就是上帝愛我們並為我們開創一條罪得赦免的道路。 　在耶穌離開人世之前，祂吩附門徒「要到世界各地去，向全人類傳福音」（馬可福音16:15），如果你跟隨並順服耶穌，你就是上帝教會的一份子。教會裡的人一起同工、彼此鼓勵去向每一個人傳講耶穌的福音。 　今天你會做什麼呢？你是否會藉著向人傳講上帝愛子的福音來榮耀並頌讚上帝呢？ —DJH* 「好使大家在一起，同聲頌讚我們的主耶穌基督的父上帝。」 羅馬書15:6 禱告：親愛的主，謝謝祢賜給我教會的大家庭，求祢今天幫助我榮耀祢、頌讚祢。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (李信儀譯)

The Church

Some people think that the church is a building. But our Bible Reading today tells us that the church is family. “The family is the church of the living God” (verse 15b). Ephesians 5:25b tells us that “Christ loved the church and gave his life for it.” Jesus did not die for a building! He died for people. 　Verse 15b also tells us the purpose of the church. “God’s church is the support and foundation of the truth.” What is this truth? It is the truth that God loves us and made a way for our sins to be forgiven. 　Before Jesus left the earth, He told His followers to go “everywhere in the world. Tell the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15). If you follow and obey Jesus, you are part of God's church. The people in the church work together to encourage one another and tell the Good News about Jesus to everyone. 　What will you do today? Will you glorify and praise God by telling people about His Son? —DJH* “...you will all be joined together. 當我的女兒珍第一次學習用鉛筆寫字的時候，她想要用左手握筆。對我來說，女兒是左撇子不是問題，但她的外婆卻不認為那是正確的寫字方式，因此她努力要說服珍改用右手寫字。 　有時候我們會認為，我們敬拜上帝的方式是唯一正確的方式，當有基督徒用不一樣的方式敬拜上帝時，我們也許會批評他們。或許我們會不認同其他基督徒的穿著或作為，但是，我們務必記得，基督徒必須彼此接納、一起同工。 　今天的經文提醒我們應該要「以愛心互相寬容」（第2b節）。為甚麼呢？因為基督徒是「以和平彼此聯繫，盡力保持聖靈所賜合一的心」（第3a節）。 　不要批評其他基督徒、不要跟他們爭吵，要一起同工領人歸主。 —NM 「惟有一位上帝，就是人類的父親；他在萬有之中，統御萬有，貫徹萬有。」 以弗所書4:6 禱告：上帝，求祢讓我們知道如何跟其他基督徒一起同工。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (李信儀譯)

When my daughter, Jean, first learned to use a pencil, she wanted to hold it in her left hand. I didn’t have a problem with her being left-handed, but her grandmother did not think that was the right way. She tried to persuade Jean to use her right hand instead. 　Sometimes we think that our way of worshiping God is the only right way. When some Christians worship in a different way, we may criticize them. Or we may disagree with other Christians about how they should dress or act. But we must remember that Christians need to accept each other and work together. 　Our Bible verses remind us that we should be “patient and accept each other with love” (verse 2b). Why? Because Christians are “joined together with peace through the Spirit” (verse 3a). 　Don’t criticize other Christians and quarrel with them. Work together to bring people to Jesus! —NM “There is one God and Father of us all, who rules over everyone. He works through all of us and in all of us.” Ephesians 4:6 PRAYER: God, please show us how we can work together with other Christians. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
