許多故事都在講國王和尋常百姓間發生的事。百姓崇拜國王、為國王做很多事，國王甚至派遣他的百姓去打仗，有些人為國王喪失性命，這些人相信自己是屬於國王的。
在今天經文閱讀的第18節，猶太人嘲笑耶穌，稱祂是「猶太人的王」。身為基督徒，我知道耶穌真的是我的王，祂遠比我讀過的書裡的任何國王更加重要。耶穌是最偉大的君王，為什麼呢？因為祂為我們而死。耶穌捨棄了自己的生命好讓我們可以跟祂共享永生。
耶穌也傳揚真理，因為耶穌傳揚真理，所以我相信祂。耶穌是完美無瑕的！祂從不犯罪或做錯任何事，耶穌是可以跟隨、最偉大的君王。
耶穌是你的王嗎？你願意遵從祂、服事祂嗎？你有敬拜祂嗎？你願意為祂而死嗎？要將你的一生交給君王耶穌，並且每天跟隨祂！—CPE*

　Many stories tell about a king and ordinary people. The ordinary people worship the king and do many things for the king. The king even sends people to fight a war. Some of the people die for the king. These people believe they belong to the king.
In verse 18 of our Bible Reading today, the Jews made fun of Jesus and called Him “king of the Jews.” As a Christian, I know that Jesus is truly my King. He is much more important than all the kings in all the books I have read. Jesus is the best king. Why? Because He died for us. Jesus gave up His life so we can have eternal life with Him.
Jesus also tells the truth. Because Jesus tells the truth, I trust Him. Jesus is perfect! He has never sinned or done anything wrong. Jesus is the best King to follow.
Is Jesus your King? Are you willing to obey and serve Him? Do you worship Him? Are you willing to die for Him? Give your life to King Jesus and follow Him every day! —CPE*

今天我們要來談耶穌，我們的君王。祂跟一般的君王不一樣，今天經文閱讀的第15b節告訴我們，耶穌是「萬王的王，萬主的主。」
世間的君王誕生在宮殿裡，但君王耶穌卻是誕生在養牲畜的地方。世間的君王會犯錯，但君王耶穌是完美無瑕的。世間的君王統治一個國家，而耶穌統治整個宇宙。世間的君王是暫時的，而君王耶穌是永恆的！
許多人拒絶耶穌作他們的王，但是當耶穌再來時，每一個人都要敬拜祂、尊榮祂，所有上帝的仇敵，包括魔鬼，都要被打敗，因為耶穌是「萬主之主，萬王之王。他所選召、忠心隨從他的人也要得勝。」（啟示錄17:14b）。
耶穌是你的君王，在今天做的每一件事中你都要崇敬祂、尊榮祂。聖誕快樂！ —GT

Today we will talk about Jesus, our King. But He was not like an ordinary king. Verse 15b of our Bible Reading tells us that Jesus is “the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords.”
Human kings are born in palaces. King Jesus was born in a place where cattle lived. Human kings make mistakes. King Jesus is perfect. Human kings rule over a country. King Jesus rules over the entire universe. Human kings are temporary. King Jesus is forever!
Many people have rejected Jesus as their King. But when Jesus comes again, everyone will worship and honor Him. All of God’s enemies, including the devil, will be defeated because Jesus is “Lord of lords and King of kings. And with him will be his chosen and faithful followers — the people he has called to be his” (Revelation 17:14b).
Jesus is your King. Worship and honor Him in everything you do today. Merry Christmas! —GT

你有沒有在電視上看過英國皇室的典禮？女王在這些特殊場合總是會戴著王冠，王冠是權柄和能力的象徵，像這樣的王冠通常用黃金製作並且用珠寶來裝飾。

在我們今天閱讀的經文中，耶穌進入耶路撒冷，群眾很興奮來看祂，他們敬拜祂、讚美祂，但是這些人並不真的了解耶穌為何來到世上，他們期待祂推翻羅馬政權並建立一個世上的王國，而祂會戴著王冠、坐在寶座上。但這並不是上帝為祂的兒子準備的計畫。

耶穌確實是一位君王，啟示錄描寫了耶穌是一個什麼樣的天國君王，如果我們順服耶穌並讓祂掌管我們的生命，我們將在祂的國度裡有份。

耶穌是你生命的君王嗎？今天就花時間想一想跟祂永遠同住會是什麼情況。—JK

Have you ever watched a royal ceremony from England on TV? The queen always wears a crown on these special occasions. A crown is a sign of authority and power. A crown like this is usually made of gold and decorated with jewels.

In our Bible verses today, Jesus entered Jerusalem. The people were excited to see Him. They worshiped and praised Him. But these people did not really understand why Jesus came to earth. They expected Him to overthrow the Romans and establish an earthly kingdom where He would sit on a throne and wear a crown. But that was not God’s plan for His Son.

Jesus is truly a king. The book of Revelation describes how Jesus is the King of a heavenly kingdom. If we obey Jesus and allow Him to rule our lives, we will share in His kingdom.

Is Jesus the King of your life? Take time today to think about what it will be like to live with Him forever. —JK

There are many parades in Iowa during the summer, especially around the Fourth of July. Small towns often have parades to honor military heroes or to celebrate an event in the town’s history. 　Our Bible verses today tell us about something that happened in Jerusalem that was like a parade. People knew that Jesus was coming into Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover. Verse 13 says, “They took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Jesus. They shouted, ‘Praise Him! Welcome! God bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord! God bless the King of Israel!’” 　The people welcomed Jesus like an earthly king. But it was not God’s plan for Jesus to rule on earth. Jesus came to die for our sins and be raised from death. Now He rules in heaven with God. Someday Jesus will return to take His followers to live with Him. 　Praise God for His forgiveness and promise of eternal life! —JK “You were raised from death with Christ. So live for what is in heaven, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Josiah Holland (1819-1881) was a man who did many things in his life. He was a photographer and a newspaper editor, and he also published a magazine. But he is best-known for writing the words to the Christmas song, “There’s A Song in the Air.” 　The words of this song talk about Jesus’ birth. Jesus came to earth as a baby, but He was also the Son of God and King of the universe. “There’s a song in the air! There’s a star in the sky...For the manger of Bethlehem cradles a King!” 　Our Bible verses today talk about Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem. Jesus was truly a King, but He was not born in a palace like a king. Mary “wrapped him up well and laid him in a box where cattle are fed” (verse 7b). 　It is important for us to remember that Jesus came to earth as a baby. But it is even more important to know that He is God’s Son and King over all kings. Worship and praise Him today! —BH “Where is the child who has been born to be the king of Jews? Maybe you think that our Bible verses for today are strange to use for a devotion on Christmas Day. But these verses tell us what Christmas really means. In these verses, Jesus is called several different names — Faithful and True, Word of God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Today we will talk about Jesus as our King. 　God told King David that years later His Son would be born from David’s family. But Jesus is not just called an ordinary king. He is called the King of Kings. That means Jesus is the most important king ever! Jesus said that His kingdom does not belong to this world. Jesus’ kingdom is the most important kingdom ever! 　When a Jewish king conquered another country, the Jews would have peace for a short time. But our Bible Reading tells us that Jesus will conquer the devil. Then there will be peace that will last forever! 　When we realize that Jesus is our King, we should worship and follow Him. Psalm 45 is written to a king. This king may have been Solomon. Solomon was an earthly king. However, some people think that this psalm may have been written about Jesus, who would come to earth many years later as our Heavenly King. 　What does this psalm tell us about the king? First, He fights for goodness and fairness (verse 4a). Second, He does amazing things (verse 4b). Third, His kingdom continues forever (verse 6a). And finally, He loves goodness and hates evil (verse 7). 　Verse 10 mentions a lady. This may be talking about the church, who is Jesus’ bride. Ephesians 5:27 says, “Christ died so that he could give the church to himself like a bride, full of glory (beauty).” 　The last verse of this psalm says, “I will make your name famous forever. People will praise you forever and ever!” Truly Jesus’ name continues to be praised. Praise Him today for His goodness and love! —JK “...your throne continues forever! Goodness is your royal scepter.
