小事情
聖經閱讀：歌羅西書3:12-17 現代中譯本|合和本

有一天我和一位同工提著一籃子的好東西去探訪聽障事工隔壁的一個家庭，我們想要謝謝他們為我們所做的一切。有一位手語靈修的忠實讀者每隔幾個禮拜就會打電話給我，只是為了感謝我所寫的靈修文章。在我的主日學校有一位女士，她為生病或是剛從醫院回家休養的人準備膳食。
這些事情有什麼共通的地方呢？這些都是不需要花太多時間或出很多力去做的小事情，但都是我們可以對其他基督徒展現愛的方式。
在今天閱讀的經文中，保羅提醒我們一些可以對其他基督徒展現愛的方式，像是展現憐憫、慈愛、謙遜、溫柔和忍耐，要克制脾氣，要彼此饒恕和相愛。所有這些事都很容易做得到，但有時候我們因為太忙而忘了彼此關愛。
今天就去為一個主內的弟兄或姐妹做一件特別的事來展現你的愛。 —Jk

Little Things

One day a co-worker and I took a small basket of goodies to a family who lives next door to the Deaf Missions building. We wanted to thank them for all they do for us. A faithful devotion book reader calls me every few weeks just to tell me that he appreciated a devotion that I wrote. The women in my Sunday school class prepare meals for people who are sick or who have just come home from the hospital.
What do all these things have in common? They are all little things that do not require much time or work. But they are all ways that we can show our love for other Christians.
In our Bible Reading today, Paul reminds us of ways we can show love to other Christians — show mercy, be kind, be humble, be gentle and patient, don't be angry, forgive others and love each other. All of these things are easy to do, but sometimes we get busy and forget to show our love for each other.
Do something special today to show your love for a brother or sister in Christ. —JK

溫柔

溫柔

　我的爸爸曾經說，有些人就像是「陶瓷店裡的公牛」。你可以想像一隻大公牛在滿是陶瓷器的店裡面四處踐踏、破壞所有的陶瓷器嗎？
我爸爸說的是那些講話大聲、粗野又不和善的人，跟這些人相反的是溫柔的人。溫柔的人既親切又仁慈，他們會小心避免傷害別人。
有時候我們的話語或手語傷了別人的心，所以當我們說話或是用手語表達時，我們必須溫柔。我們要記得上帝創造每個人都是特別的，所以我們應該要尊重別人，要溫柔對待他們。
你會溫柔對待你的家人和朋友嗎？你會溫柔對待你的同事或是在雜貨店裡看見的人嗎？今天就溫柔對待每一個你遇到的人。 —JM

Gentleness

　My dad used to say that some people were like a “bull in a china shop.” Can you imagine a big bull in a shop filled with china dishes, stomping around and breaking all the china?
My dad was talking about people who are loud and rude and unkind. The opposite of these people are people who are gentle. Gentle people are kind and loving. They are careful not to hurt other people.
Sometimes we say/sign things and hurt someone's feelings. When we talk or sign to people, we need to be gentle. We need to remember that God made every person to be special. We should respect other people and treat them with gentleness.
Will you be gentle with your family and friends? Will you be gentle with your co-workers or the people you see in the grocery store? Show gentleness to every person you meet today. —JM

“But the wisdom that comes from God is like this: First, it is pure. It is also peaceful, gentle, and easy to please. This wisdom is always ready to help people who have trouble and to do good for others.” James 3:17a

接下來，聖靈賜給人「溫柔」。提多書只有46節，這本簡短的書是保羅寫給提多的信。保羅與提多在克里特一起同工，後來保羅將提多留在克里特繼續完成教會的事工。在這封信裡，保羅幫助提多處理在教會裡發生的一些事情，他也寫給提多一些關於信心與假教師的教導。 在今天的聖經閱讀中，保羅要提多提醒基督徒一些事情。在第2節中，保羅談到要溫柔對待他人。「溫柔」這個詞也同時具有柔和或謙卑的意思。當我們與他人一起工作時，我們應該要柔和及謙卑。心存溫柔代表我們知道上帝正掌管我們的生命，當我們明白這一點，我們就會以尊重和恩慈來對待其他人。 想想你的家人、你的朋友和你的同事，你有以溫柔來對待他們嗎？如果沒有，聖靈會幫助你，讓你在生活中變得更溫柔。—JK 「你們要謙遜、溫柔、忍耐，以愛心互相寬容。」以弗所書4:2 禱告：親愛的天父，我願以溫柔和謙卑來對待我今天會遇到的人。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (林煜茹譯/台南聖教會英語團契)

Next, the Spirit gives gentleness. The book of Titus has only forty-six verses. This short book is a letter that Paul wrote to Titus. Paul and Titus worked together in Crete. Paul left Titus on Crete to continue the work of the church. In this letter, Paul helped Titus deal with things that were happening in the church. He also gave Titus teaching about his faith and about false teachers. In our Bible Reading, Paul told Titus to remind the Christians about certain things. In verse two, Paul talked about being gentle with other people. This word “gentle” can also mean meek or humble. We should have meekness and humility when we work with other people. Being gentle means that we understand God is in control of our lives. When we realize this, we treat other people with respect and kindness. Think about your family, your friends and your co-workers. Do you show gentleness to them? If not, the Holy Spirit will help you be more gentle in your life. —JK “Always be humble and gentle.
