聖經閱讀：路加福音17:24-30 現代中譯本|合和本

雖然閃電有時候讓人感到害怕，但我卻喜歡看閃電劃過天空的景象，閃電發出的顏色往往令人讚嘆。
閃電的速度可以高達每秒6,000公里，這是非常快的速度！在今天讀的經文中，耶穌用閃電來比喻祂的再來：「正像閃電橫掃天空，從天的這邊照射到天的那邊，人子來臨的日子也是這樣」（第24節）。這個經節告訴我，當耶穌再來時，所有人都可以看見祂，而且，這件事會很快發生。
耶穌也在馬可福音13:32提到：「至於那要臨到的日子和時間，沒有人知道；天上的天使不知道，兒子也不知道，只有父親知道。」因為耶穌的再來會很快發生，我們要隨時作好預備。
聖經教導我們要如何跟上帝有一個合宜的關係，你要研讀並遵行上帝的話語，這樣你就可以準備好面見耶穌！ —JK

　Although lightning can sometimes be scary, I love to watch lightning steak across the sky. Often the colors in lightning are amazing.
A lightning bolt moves at 3,700miles per second. That is very fast! In our Bible Reading, Jesus compares His return to earth with lightning. “When the Son of Man comes again, you will know it. On that day he will shine like lightning flashes across the sky” (verse 24). This verse tells me that when Jesus comes again, all people will be able to see Him. And, it will happen very fast.
Jesus also talked about that day in Mark 13:32: “No one knows when that day or time will be. The Son and the angels in heaven don't know when that day or time will be . Only the Father knows.” Because Jesus' coming will happen very fast, we need to always be ready.
The Bible teaches us how to have a right relationship with God. Study and obey God’s Word. Then you will be ready to meet Jesus! —JK

“It will only take the time of a second. We will be changed as quickly as an eye blinks. This will happen when the last trumpet blows. The trumpet will blow and those who have died will be raised to live forever.” 1 Corinthians 15:52a

　每一個夏天，我都會去跟我的朋友瑪麗蓮住一個星期，然後她會來跟我住一個星期。
我住在鎮上，但是瑪麗蓮住在農場，我們在家各自有不一樣的事要做。瑪麗蓮的母親坐輪椅，所以瑪麗蓮要做很多家事，我記得曾經幫她撿過雞蛋，但是母雞拒絶我們拿走牠的蛋！
瑪麗蓮跟我在一起時很開心，我會倒數還有幾天才能去她那裡，我一直盼望著去農場跟她在一起。
我們也應該盼望耶穌再來的日子，但是今天讀的經文說，我們並不知道耶穌什麼時候會來。有很多人嘗試預測耶穌再來的時間，但是只有上帝知道，所以，我們必須隨時為耶穌再來並帶我們永遠與祂同住作好準備。
今天你準備好要面見耶穌了嗎？ —CW*

　Each summer I would spend a week with my friend, Marilyn. Then she would spend a week with me.
I lived in town, but Marilyn lived on a farm. We each had different things to do at our homes. Marilyn's mother was in a wheelchair, so Marilyn had many chores to do. I remember trying to help her gather eggs. But sometimes the hens did not want us to take away their eggs!
Marilyn and I had a lot of fun together. I would count the days until I could go to her house. I always looked forward to spending time with her on the farm.
We should look forward to the time when Jesus will come again. But our Bible verses tell us that we do not know when Jesus will come. Many people have tried to predict the exact time, but only God knows. So, we must always be ready for Jesus to come and take us to live with Him forever.
Are you ready today to meet Jesus? —CW*

“You know very well that the day when the Lord comes again will be a surprise, like a thief who comes at night.” 1 Thessalonians 5:2

　今天讀的經節是保羅勸告提摩太的話，這些話對現今的基督徒也是有幫助的忠告。
保羅告訴提摩太要遵行這些經文的教導，因為這些經文會讓他有智慧，這些經文是指什麼呢？就是聖經！聖經帶領我們「藉著信基督耶穌而獲得拯救」（第15b節）。
保羅接著告訴我們聖經有多麼重要。聖經教導我們、讓我們知道生活中不對的地方，它導正我們，並且教導我們該如何生活。另外，聖經也幫助我們預備服事上帝。
就像提摩太一樣，我從小就一直領受聖經的教導，我很感謝大家教導我認識耶穌和祂的救恩，但是我的生命仍然有問題，我必須不斷地讀經、查經，好讓我持守對上帝的信心。
今天要讀經，要從中學習，並向人分享裡面的信息。 —BC*

Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 3:14-17

Our Bible verses today are words of advice from Paul to Timothy. This is good advice for Christians today, too.
Paul told Timothy that he should follow the Scriptures because they would make him wise. What are the Scriptures? The Bible! The Bible leads us to “salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” (verse 15b).
Paul continues to show how important the Bible is. The Bible teaches us and shows us what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us and tells us how we should live. And the Bible helps prepare us to serve God.
Like Timothy, I have been taught from the Bible since I was young. I am thankful that people taught me about Jesus and His salvation. But I still have problems in my life. I need to keep reading and studying the Bible so I will stay faithful to God.
Read God’s Word today. Learn from it and share its message with other people. —BC*

Our Bible verses today were written by Paul to the church in Thessalonica. Paul wrote this letter to tell the people more about the time Jesus will come back and to encourage them as they waited for Jesus. 　If you want to be ready for a new day, what do you do? Do you stay in bed and sleep? No! You set your alarm, get up and get dressed. In the same way, Paul says that we need to be ready for Jesus to come back. “So we should not be like other people. We should not be sleeping. We should be awake and have self-control” (verse 6). 　When Jesus comes back, what will you be doing? Will you be ready to welcome Jesus, or will you be ashamed that you were not obeying Him? We do not know when Jesus will come, so we need to be ready every minute of the day. 　Be sure that you are ready to meet Jesus today! —JD* “Everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds in the sky.
