堅固的磐石

我的門上掛著一個用人造花製作的花圈，前幾天我打開門，有一隻鳥從花圈裡飛出來。我看了看花圈，發現那隻鳥在裡面築了一個巢，但是在我開門時，幾乎整個鳥巢都掉到了地上。 　在今天閱讀的經文中，耶穌談到兩個蓋房子的人，其中一個人把房子蓋在堅固的磐石上，而另外一個人卻是把房子蓋在沙土上。當暴風雨來襲時，蓋在磐石上的房子依然堅固，但是在沙土上的房子卻倒塌了。 　有時候我們努力將自己的盼望、倚靠和夢想建立在不屬於上帝的事物上，這些事物也許是朋友、家庭、錢財、教育、美貌、健康或是青春。這些沒有一樣是不好的，但卻不應該成為我們生命的根基，當問題發生時，這些東西並不可靠──就像那個壞掉的鳥巢一樣。 　今天就將你的盼望、倚靠和信心寄託在基督裡。 —SQ 「既然你們接受基督耶穌為主，你們的行為必須以他為中心，在他裡面扎根，生長，建立信心。」 歌羅西書2:6-7a 禱告：恩主，我願祢永遠是我生命的堅固磐石。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (盧姵茹譯)

On my door I have a wreath made of artificial flowers. The other day I opened the door, and a bird flew out of the wreath. I looked at the wreath and saw that the bird had been building a nest there. Most of the nest fell on the ground when I opened the door. 　In our Bible Reading today, Jesus talked about two men who built houses. One man built his house on a strong foundation of rock. The other man built his house on sand. When a storm with winds and rain came, the house on the rock stood strong. But the house on the sand fell apart. 　Sometimes we try to build our hopes, trust and dreams on things that are not from God. These can be things like friends, family, money, education, beauty, health or youth. None of these things are bad, but they should not be the foundation of our lives. When problems happen, these things can fall apart — just like the bird’s nest fell apart. 　Put your hope and trust and faith in Christ today. —SQ “You accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, so continue to live following him. You must depend on Christ only, drawing life and strength from him.” Colossians 2:6-7a PRAYER: Lord, I want You to always be the strong foundation of my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

也許你知道「剪刀、石頭、布」這個遊戲，這個遊戲用三種不同手勢來代表剪刀、石頭和布。玩的時候，兩個人要同時打出其中一種手勢，遊戲的目標是要打出擊敗對方的手勢。 這個遊戲的規則是：石頭可以打壞剪刀，所以石頭的手勢勝過剪刀；剪刀可以剪布，所以剪刀的手勢勝過布。但是，第三個規則讓我很難了解：布可以包住石頭，所以布的手勢勝過石頭；這對我來說很不合理，布要怎麼擊敗石頭呢？ 當大衛躲避掃羅和他的軍隊時，他寫了詩篇第18篇。在第31節中，大衛說：「除了耶和華，誰是上帝呢？除了我們的上帝，誰是磐石呢？」在這裡，大衛稱呼上帝是他的磐石。上帝不像遊戲裡的石頭，布並不能擊敗上帝，任何東西都不能擊敗上帝！ 上帝也是你的磐石，今天你就可以回轉向祂，向祂尋求幫助、安慰與平安！ —SAH 今日金句： 「求你作我穩妥的避難所，作保護我的鞏固堡壘；因為你是我的避難所，我的堡壘。」 詩篇71:3 禱告：上帝，我知道我可以跑向祢，祢就會使我安全。感謝祢成為我的磐石。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (SDL譯/台南聖教會英語團契)

Maybe you know the game called “Rock, Paper, Scissors.” The game has different hand shapes for rock, paper and scissors. Two people make one of the three hand shapes at the same time. The goal of the game is to make the hand shape that beats the other one. Here are the rules for the game: a rock can break scissors so the rock hand shape wins over scissors, and scissors can cut paper so the scissors hand shape wins over paper. But the third rule is hard for me to understand: paper can cover a rock, so the paper hand shape wins over rock. That doesn’t make sense to me. How can paper defeat a rock? David wrote Psalm 18 when he was running from Saul and his army. In verse 31, David said, “There is no God except the Lord. There is no Rock, except our God.” Here David called God his Rock. God isn’t a rock like in the game. Paper can’t defeat Him. Nothing can defeat God! God is your Rock, too. You can turn to Him for help, comfort and safety today! —SAH “Be my fortress, the home I can run to for safety. You are my Rock, my place of safety.” Psalm 71:3a PRAYER: Lord, I know that I can run to You and You will keep me safe. Thank You for being my Rock. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
