今天的經文告訴我們，因為彼得宣講耶穌的福音，所以希律王將他關進監獄裡。當彼得在監獄裡的時候，上帝差派一個天使帶領彼得離開監獄。然後彼得去到馬利亞的家，正好有一些基督徒在那裡聚會，第12節說，這些基督徒正在禱告。他們在禱告什麼呢？他們大概在求上帝將彼得從監獄拯救出來。 彼得敲了房子的外門，「就有一個名叫羅大的婢女應聲出來」（第13b節）。羅大知道在門外的人是彼得，就感到很興奮。她是這麼的高興以致於「顧不得開門」（第14b節）就跑回去告訴其他基督徒，說彼得站在門外。 羅大興奮是因為她知道上帝回應了他們的禱告。當上帝回應了你的禱告並且在你的生命中成就美好的事時，你務必要感謝祂。你要很高興有上帝愛你、照顧你！ —JK 「這時候，彼得才明白過來，就說：『現在我知道這是真的；主差遣他的天使。』」 使徒行傳12:11a

Our Bible Reading today tells us that King Herod put Peter in jail because he was preaching about Jesus. When Peter was in jail, God sent an angel to lead Peter out of jail. Then Peter went to the home of Mary, where some Christians were meeting. Verse 12 says that these Christians were praying. What were they praying about? They were probably asking God to rescue Peter from jail. Peter knocked on the door of the house. “A servant girl named Rhoda came to answer it” (verse 13b). Rhoda knew that it was Peter at the door, and she was excited. She was so excited that she “even forgot to open the door” (verse 14b)! Rhoda ran inside and told the Christians that Peter was there. Rhoda was excited because she knew God answered their prayers. When God answers your prayers and does something wonderful in your life, be sure to thank Him. Be excited that God loves you and takes care of you! —JK “Peter realized then what had happened. He thought, ‘Now I know that the Lord really sent his angel to me.’” Acts 12:11a
