今天的經文跟我們談到在約帕有一個女人名叫大比大，她也被稱作多加。大比大「她做了許多好事，樂意幫助貧窮的人」（第36b節）。 　當彼得在約帕時，大比大死了，在那裡的基督徒感到很悲傷，他們要求彼得到放置大比大屍體的房間裡。裡面有很多人，他們哭著將大比大生前為他們所縫製的衣服給彼得看。彼得禱告說：「『大比大，起來！』她睜開眼睛，看見彼得，就坐起來」（第40b節）。 　大比大是一個真正的僕人，她用衣服和金錢來幫助其他基督徒。也許你認為你的工作在上帝的家中不是很重要，但是在上帝的國度裡，祂需要所有不同種類的僕人──教師、育幼人員、佈道家、音樂家、廚師、維修人員，以及其他更多人。今天就因著你可以用各種方式來事奉上帝而感謝祂。 —JK 「彼得……又叫信徒和寡婦們進去，把多加活活的交給他們。」 使徒行傳9:41b 禱告：天父，謝謝祢賜給我一份在祢國度裡的工。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Our Bible Reading today tells us that in the city of Joppa there was a woman named Tabitha. She was also called Dorcas. Tabitha was “always doing good things for people and giving money to those in need” (verse 36b). 　While Peter was in Joppa, Tabitha died. The Christians there were so sad. They asked Peter to come to the room where they had put Tabitha’s body. Many people were in the room. They cried and showed Peter the clothes that Tabitha had made for them. Peter prayed and then said, “‘Tabitha, stand up!’ She opened her eyes. When she saw Peter, she sat up” (verse 40b). 　Tabitha was a true servant. She helped other Christians by giving them clothes and money. Maybe you think that your job in God’s family is not very important. But God needs all kinds of servants in His kingdom — teachers, nursery workers, preachers, musicians, cooks, maintenance people and many more. Thank God today for the ways you can serve Him. —JK “Then he called the believers and the widows into the room.
