Bible Reading: Psalm 119:137-144
Thursday, September 8, 2016

When I was 14 years old, my grandma became ill. So I went to Illinois for the summer to help my grandma and grandpa. That was a wonderful summer! My grandparents taught me that the Bible is very important. My grandpa read to me every day from his old, worn Bible. Throughout that summer, my faith in God and His Word grew.
I returned home to California and started going to Sunday school again. Because of what my grandparents had taught me, I realized that the church my parents attended did not follow the Bible. That church said the stories in the Bible were not about real people. Soon I started to drift away from God and the faith that had started growing in me.
The Bible is God's Word, and it is true! I hope you believe that! And I hope that you agree with the writer of our Bible verses today. “I love your word. Time and again it has been proven true” (verse 140). —DF

“...I have not forgotten your instructions. Your goodness is forever, and your teachings can be trusted.” Psalm 119:141b-142
PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your patience in teaching me about Your Word. In Jesus' name. Amen.
