Pilgrim Psalms (6)
Bible Reading: Psalm 125:1-5
Tuesday, September 15, 2015

Pilgrim Psalms (6) When the pilgrims were close to Jerusalem, they could see Mount Zion in the distance. Verse 1 of Psalm 125 says, “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion. They will never be shaken. They will continue forever.”
Sometimes we must face difficult situations in our lives. At those times we might worry and be afraid. But if we depend on God to help us, we can stand firm — like a strong mountain.
In verse 2 the writer says, “Like the mountains that surround Jerusalem, the Lord surrounds and protects his people now and forever.” When we have troubles, fears and difficult decisions, God surrounds us. We don’t have to face these things alone. God will help us stand strong.
You don’t know what will happen to you today. But you can know that you don’t have to be alone. God is always ready to help and protect you. —BH
“God is our protection and source of strength. He is always ready to help us in times of trouble.” Psalm 46:1
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for surrounding me with Your strength. I know that You will be with me today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
