今天的經文是「上帝之愛」的一個典範。這是一個故事，故事中耶穌談到一個兒子要求父親將他應得的產業分給他。這個父親非常愛兒子，所以就照兒子所要求的給了他。這個兒子拿了錢後就離開了。他揮霍掉那筆錢，不久之後，他就變得又窮又餓，所以他決定回家找父親。 第20b節說：「他離家還遠，父親望見了他，就充滿愛憐，奔向前去，緊抱著他，不停地親吻。」在那個年代，猶太長者是不適合奔跑的，但是這個父親並不在乎這個，他愛兒子，所以就奔向前去迎接他。 這種愛跟上帝要給我們的愛是相同的。上帝願意捨棄祂的獨生子來幫助我們跟祂有更親密的關係，這就是「上帝之愛」的完美典範。 今天你要如何愛其他人呢？ —JS* 「上帝那麼愛世人，甚至賜下他的獨子，要使所有信他的人不致滅亡，反得永恆的生命。」 約翰福音3:16

Our Bible Reading today is a great example of agape love. This is a story that Jesus told about a son who asked his father for his share of the family wealth. The father loved his son very much, so he gave his son what he asked for. The son took the money and went away. He wasted the money, and soon he was poor and hungry. He decided to go home to his father. Verse 20b says, “While the son was still a long way off, his father saw him coming and felt sorry for him. So he ran to him and hugged and kissed him.” At that time, it was not proper for older Jewish men to run. But the father did not care about that. He loved his son, and he ran to meet him. This is the same kind of love that God has for us. God was willing to give up His only Son to help us have a closer relationship with Him. That is the perfect example of agape love. How you will love other people today? —JS* “Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life.” John 3:16
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that I can have eternal life through Jesus. In His name. Amen. |
