「愛」是一個很有力量的字。在新國際版(NIV)聖經中，「愛」這個字總共出現了686次！而上帝就是愛。本文和接下來的幾篇靈修文章中，我們會來看一些愛的好典範。 　愛的最佳典範就是耶穌，上帝的兒子。就如同今天的經文所告訴我們的，耶穌被釘在十字架上，祂是完美的、沒有罪的，不應該被釘在十字架上。但是耶穌祂代替了我們、為我們的罪接受了這樣的刑罰。因為耶穌為我們受死，所以我們的罪才有可能被赦免。因著耶穌永遠活著而讚美上帝——祂從死裡復活為要帶給我們永生的盼望！ 　第51a節告訴我們：「這時候（耶穌死時），懸掛在聖殿裏的幔子，從上到下裂成兩半。」因為耶穌為我們所做的事，我們才可以領受救恩，並和上帝建立一個關係。 　這是多麼奇妙的愛！世上再也沒有比這個愛更偉大的了。今天就因著祂偉大的愛而感謝上帝。—CPE* 「人為朋友犧牲自己的性命，人間的愛沒有比這更偉大的了。」 約翰福音15:13 禱告：親愛的上帝，感謝祢為我受刑罰，感謝祢讓我看見世上最偉大的愛。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (姜冠群譯)

Love is a very powerful word. In the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible, The word “love” appears 686 times! God is love. In this devotion and the next few, we will look at some excellent examples of love. 　The best example of love is Jesus, God’s Son. As our Bible Reading tells us, Jesus was crucified on a cross. He was perfect and had no sin. Jesus did not deserve to be nailed to a cross. But Jesus took our place. He accepted the punishment for our sins. Jesus died for us so that our sins may be forgiven. And praise God that Jesus is not dead anymore — He rose from the dead to give us the hope of eternal life! 　Verse 51a tells us, “When Jesus died, the curtain in the Temple was torn into two pieces.” Because of what Jesus did for us, we can receive salvation and have a relationship with God. 　Such amazing love! There is no greater love than this.
