Love Each Other
Bible Reading: John 13:31-35
Monday, July 8 2013

Love Each Other In our Bible verses, Jesus was about to be arrested, beaten and crucified. These words are some of Jesus’ last instructions to His disciples before He died.
In verses 34 and 35, Jesus said, “I give you a new command: Love each other. You must love each other just as I loved you. All people will know that you are my followers if you love each other.” Jesus told His disciples that loving each other was very important.
After Jesus died and rose from the dead, the church began. People became Christians and faithfully served God. History tells us that those early Christians truly loved each other. People who did not worship God saw that the Christians loved each other. Sometimes this led them to give their lives to God.
When people see Christians loving each other, they want to have that kind of peace and happiness, too. Be sure that you show God’s love today. —RK*
“Dear friends, we should love each other, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has become God’s child. And so everyone who loves knows God.” 1 John 4:7
PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your great love. Help me to share Your love with someone today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
