Middle Verse
Bible Reading: Psalm 118:1-9
Tuesday, July 16 2013

Middle Verse Psalm 118:8 says, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to trust in people.” That verse is the middle verse of the whole Bible.
I have learned that Psalm 118:8 is very true. I have depended on some people to help me, but they refused to help or they hurt me instead. I have been disappointed to see that some people have used my troubles and confusion as a way to benefit themselves.
When people I trusted let me down, I learned to depend on God instead. In God I found love, peace, and guidance. When I learned to trust God, my life was better. Why? Because I knew that God was with me.
It has been difficult, but I have learned to trust God about my future. I don’t know what will happen to me tomorrow or next year. But I still need to trust God in every situation. God knows the future, and He will always do what is best for me.
I hope you are putting your trust in God today. He will never fail you! —BH

PRAYER: Father, forgive me when I forget to depend on You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
