你的信心

用黃金做的東西非常有價值，現今有很多人戴金戒指和金項鍊。有些人很喜愛黃金，所以他們的人生目標就是擁有更多的黃金。 　我們必須記得，黃金雖然美麗、有價值，但也會毁壞。在今天閱讀的經文中，彼得說：「甚至那能毀壞的金子也得經過火煉」（第7b節）。黃金和我們所有世上的財物都只是暫時的，這些東西不應該成為我們生命的目標。 　彼得接著說，我們生命的目標不應該是世上的東西，我們的目標應該是對耶穌的信心，以及透過祂得著的救恩：「你們的信心比金子貴重多了，更必須受考驗，好使你們在耶穌基督顯現的日子得到稱讚、光榮，和尊貴」（第7b節）。 　所以你今天的目標是什麼呢？你是不是正在努力賺更多錢財呢？或者你正在努力建立對耶穌的信心？ —MC* 「為你們正在領受信心的效果，就是你們靈魂的得救。」 彼得前書1:9 禱告：天父，謝謝祢賜下耶穌，謝謝祢讓我看見如何每天更信靠祂。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (王熙瑤譯)

Things made of gold are very valuable. Many people today wear gold rings and necklaces. Some people love gold so much that their goal in life is to have more gold. 　We need to remember that gold is beautiful and valuable, but it can be destroyed. In our Bible Reading today Peter says, “Gold can be proved to be pure by fire, but gold will ruin” (verse 7b). Gold and all our other possessions on earth are temporary. These things should not be our goal in life. 　Peter goes on to say that our goal in life should not be things on earth. Our goal should be our faith in Jesus and salvation through Him. “When your faith is proven to be pure, the result will be praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ comes” (verse 7b). 　So what is your goal today? Are you working to have more money and possessions? Or are you working to build your faith in Jesus? —MC* “Your faith has a goal, and you are reaching that goal — your salvation.” 1 Peter 1:9 PRAYER: Father, thank You for Jesus.
