決定做善事
聖經閱讀：約書亞記1:1-18 現代中譯本|合和本

有一天我在思考善與惡，我明白要親近上帝比屈從魔鬼還要困難。基督徒生活是善與惡之間的一場戰役，上帝希望我們持守剛強、抵擋魔鬼並且為祂而活。 　今天閱讀的經文提醒我們，上帝永遠與我們同在。約書亞是以色列人的新領袖，上帝吩附他將百姓帶到新的土地上。上帝告訴約書亞要剛強、要勇敢並且遵從祂的命令，然後祂跟約書亞說：「不害怕，不沮喪；因為你無論到哪裏，我、上主─你的上帝一定與你同在」（第9b節）。 　生活中我們會遇到很多的難題，而且我們往往不能克服所有這些困難，但是我們真知道，最後上帝一定會得勝。當我們每天為祂而活時，祂會與我們同在、幫助我們。 　今天你必須在善與惡之間作出決定，要學像約書亞，決定做善事並服事上帝。 —MC 「如果你們不願意事奉他，那麼，今天必須決定……至於我和我的家，我們要事奉上主。」 約書亞記24:15 禱告：天父，求祢今天賜給我力量來決定做善事並服事祢。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Choose to Do Good

One day I was thinking about good and evil. I realized that it is harder to stay close to God than it is to give in to evil. The Christian life is a battle between good and evil. God wants us to stand strong against evil and live for Him. 　Our Bible Reading today reminds us that God is always with us. Joshua was the new leader of the Israelites. God told him to take the people into the new land. God told Joshua to be strong and brave and to obey His commands. Then He told Joshua, “Don't be afraid, because the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (verse 9b). 　We face many struggles in life, and we will not always overcome these struggles. But we do know that in the end God will always be victorious. He will be with us and help us as we live for Him every day. 　Today you will have to choose between good and evil. Be like Joshua and choose to do good and always serve God. —MC “But maybe you don't want to serve the Lord. You must choose for yourselves today...But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 PRAYER: Father, give me strength today to choose to do good and serve You. In Jesus' name.
