Have Faith
Bible Reading: Romans 10:11-17
Wednesday, February 20, 2013
For a long time, I wondered if I really had faith in God. I believed in God. But I didn’t know if that was the same as having faith. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see.” This verse helped me understand that even though I can’t see God, I know He is real. How can I know this? Because the Bible tells me He is real. Verse 17 of today’s Bible Reading says, “So faith comes from hearing the Good News. And people hear the Good News when someone tells them about Christ.” I have heard about Jesus many times, and I read the Bible every day. The Bible is full of the Good News about Jesus and what He did to save us from our sin. If you have heard the Good News about Jesus and you believe in Him, then you can be happy. Why? Because you have faith. Now you need to share that Good News with someone who does not know about Jesus. Then they will have faith, too! —MS “We must never stop looking to Jesus. He is the leader of our faith, and he is the one who makes our faith complete.” Hebrews 12:2a
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, even though I cannot see You, I have faith that You are real. In Jesus’ name. Amen. |
