聆聽並順服
聖經閱讀：雅各書1:19-25 現代中譯本|合和本

今天的經文提醒我們要小心聆聽並且順服上帝，如果我們聆聽並順服，就會討上帝的喜悅。在第19-21節中，雅各告訴我們要控制怒氣、擺脫生命中的罪惡、要謙卑並且接受上帝的教導。如果我們能這樣做，就會避開生活中很多的問題。 　經文第22-25節給了我們一個有趣的例子。雅各說，如果我們留意上帝的話，卻又不照著去做，我們就是在愚弄自己。雅各又說：「那聽道而不去實行的，正像一個人對著鏡子，看看自己的面目，端詳了一會兒，然後走開，立刻忘了自己的長相。」(第23-24節) 　當我們讀聖經時，我們應該要照聖經上說的去做，這樣我們就會「蒙上帝賜福」(第25b節)，雅各在這節經文中又說：「不是聽了就忘掉。」 　上帝已經將祂的信息放在聖經中賜給了你，今天就讀經並且遵行，然後要對上帝和祂的話語忠心。—JA* 「用順服的心接受上帝種在你們心裏的道，就是那能夠拯救你們的道。」 雅各書1:21b 禱告：天父，今天我願對祢忠心。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (SDL譯/台南聖教會英語團契)

Listen and Obey

Our Bible Reading today reminds us to be careful to listen to God and obey Him. If we listen and obey, we will please God. In verses 19-21, James tells us to control our anger, get rid of evil in our lives, be humble and accept God’s teaching. If we do those things, we will avoid many problems in life. 　Verses 22-25 give us an interesting example. James says that if we pay attention to God’s words but do not obey them, we are fooling ourselves. Then James says, “Hearing God’s teaching and doing nothing is like looking at your face in the mirror and doing nothing about what you saw. You go away and immediately forget how bad you looked.” (verses 23-24). 　When we read the Bible, we should do what it says. Then we “will have God’s blessing” (verse 25b). James continues in that verse and says, “Never just listen to his teaching and forget what you heard.” 　God has given you His message in the Bible. Read it and obey it today.
