教會的誕生

在五旬節這一天，猶太人帶來第一次的收成獻給上帝。今天的經文告訴我們，很多猶太人為了這個節日聚集在耶路撒冷，忽然有些奇怪的事情發生了——有聲音、颳風，以及火焰。接著跟隨耶穌的信徒「被聖靈充滿，照著聖靈所賜的才能開始說起別種語言來」（第4節）。這就是上帝的教會誕生的情形。 　使徒行傳第2章的其餘部份說到彼得向人們講道，他向他們傳講耶穌的死和復活。接著彼得又對他們說，他們也可以擁有聖靈。在使徒行傳2:38，彼得說：「你們每一個人都要悔改，並且要奉耶穌基督的名受洗，好使你們的罪得到赦免，你們就會領受上帝所賜的聖靈。」 　你也可以領受聖靈，要悔改並且受洗，那麼你就會擁有在耶穌裡的新生命！ －GT 「上帝把他的靈賜給了我們，因此我們知道，我們有他的生命，而他在我們的生命裏。」 約翰壹書4:13 禱告：天父，感謝祢賜下祢的聖靈。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (林威妮譯)

On the day of Pentecost, Jewish people brought the first part of their harvest and offered it to God. Our Bible Reading tells us that many Jews were gathered in Jerusalem for this festival. Suddenly some strange things happened — noise, wind and flames of fire. Then the people who followed Jesus “were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak different languages. The Holy Spirit was giving them the power to do this” (verse 4). This was the birth of God’s church. 　The rest of Acts, chapter 2, tells us that Peter preached to the people. He told them about Jesus’ death and resurrection. Then Peter told them that they could have the Holy Spirit, too. Peter said in Acts 2:38, “Change your hearts and lives and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Then God will forgive your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” 　You can receive the Holy Spirit, too. Change your heart and be baptized. Then you will have a new life in Jesus! —GT “We know that we live in God and God lives in us.
