Be Wise
Bible Reading: Proverbs 1:1-6
Thursday, May 14, 2015

Be Wise The book of Proverbs was written by King Solomon. This book is full of Solomon’s wisdom. Our Bible Reading tells us that his words of wisdom “will help you learn to be wise, to accept correction, and to understand wise sayings” (verse 2b).
I bought a new computer desk. I needed to have the instructions so I could know how to put the desk together. There were many kinds of screws. I followed the step-by-step directions so I could put the desk together correctly.
The Bible is our instruction book from God. We need to obey God and follow His instructions on how to live. When we read Solomon’s wise words, we can learn how to obey and follow God. “Knowledge begins with fear and respect for the Lord, but stubborn fools hate wisdom and refuse to learn” (verse 7).
Study the Bible every day and learn more about obeying God. Then you will be wise. —BP*
“These proverbs will make even those without education smart. They will teach young people what they need to know and how to use what they have learned.” Proverbs 1:4
PRAYER: Dear God, thank You for Your Word which helps me be wise. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
