The last piece of furniture in the courtyard of the Holy Tent was the washing bowl. This was the place where the Israelite priests washed their hands and feet. Verse 20 of our Bible verses tells us they needed to wash every time they burned incense or offered a gift to God. 　The washing bowl was made of bronze. We do not know how big it was. It was placed between the altar of burnt offerings and the entrance to the Holy Place. Exodus 38:8 tells us that the washing bowl was made with bonze mirrors. Perhaps the priests used these mirrors to make sure that they were clean. 　1 John 1:9 says, “But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong things we have done.” Just as the Israelite priests needed to be clean when they came before the Lord, we need to have our sins forgiven. Then we can have a right relationship with God. —JK “He made the bowl and its base with bronze.
