做正確的事

有一天，有人送我一大袋衣服，當回到家時，我就迫不及待要打開袋子看裡面的衣服。 　當把所有的衣服都翻看一遍後，我看到了一件實在很可愛的襯衫。我打算隔天就穿上它。但在隔天早上我穿上這件襯衫後，我注意到上面有一個小圖案，而我知道這是一個我父母親不會讓我穿在身上的東西。 　但是，我真的很想穿這件襯衫，我不斷地問自己：「我應該穿它嗎？也許我的父母根本不會注意！」最後，我決定去問爸爸。結果他說，我不應該穿這件襯衫。 　一開始，我有點不開心，後來我終於明白，我已經做了正確的事，而我知道上帝高興我這麼做。今天經文的第31節提醒我們，無論做什麼，都應該為上帝的榮耀而做。 　我希望今天你會決定順服上帝而去做正確的事。 —SE 「那麼，你們無論做甚麼，或吃或喝，都要為榮耀上帝而做。你們無論做什麼，都不可以使人跌倒。」 哥林多前書10:31-32a 禱告：親愛的上帝，我要在每件事上都榮耀祢。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (陳美婷譯)

One day someone gave me a big bag of clothes. When I got home, I couldn’t wait to open the bag and look at the clothes. 　As I looked through the clothes, I saw a really cute shirt. I planned to wear it the next day. After I put the shirt on the next morning, I noticed a small symbol on it. I knew this was something my parents would not let me wear. 　But I really wanted to wear that shirt! I kept saying to myself, “Should I wear it? Maybe my parents won’t even notice!” Finally I decided to ask my dad. He said that I should not wear the shirt. 　At first, I was upset. Then I realized that I had done the right thing. I knew that God would be pleased with me. Verse 31 of our Bible Reading today reminds us that we should do everything for God’s glory. 　I hope you will choose to obey God and do right things today. —SE “So if you eat, or if you drink, or if you do anything, do it for the glory of God. Never do anything that might make other people do wrong.”1 Corinthians 10:31-32a PRAYER: Dear God, I want to honor You in everything I do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
