等待

你有沒有想過，我們花了多少時間在等待上？我們會排隊等候買一杯咖啡、在賣場等候結帳、等待遲到的朋友。有時候我會想，如果不等待的話，我可能會去做的其他事。 　你會喜歡等待嗎？大概不會！有人會喜歡等待嗎？我不認為有人會！我們也許會像這樣想：「我要所有一切，而且現在就要！」我們禱告求上帝幫助我們，但是卻不想等待祂的回應。 　我常常求上帝幫助我，如果祂不馬上回應我的禱告，我就會生氣。而且，我們也很容易去嫉妒沒有信主的人卻擁有生活中想要的一切。 　今天閱讀的經文提醒我們不用去擔心別人，而應該要把「自己交託上主；信靠他，他會幫助你」（第7a節）。有時候等待回應是困難的事，但是我們要記得，上帝知道什麼是對我們最好的。 　今天就在任何事上信靠上帝吧！ —LB 「要把你自己交託上主；信靠他，他會幫助你。」 詩篇37:5b 禱告：上帝，求?幫助我等候祢回應我的禱告。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Have you ever thought about how much time we spend waiting? We wait in line to buy a cup of coffee. We wait to pay for things at the store. We wait for a friend who is late. Sometimes I think about all the things I could be doing instead of waiting. 　Do you like to wait? Probably not. Does anyone like to wait? I don’t think so. We may think like this: “I want it all, and I want it now!” We pray and ask God for help, but we don’t want to wait for His answer. 　Often I ask for God to help me. Then I become angry if He doesn’t answer my prayer right away. It is also easy to become jealous of non-Christians who seem to have everything they want in life. 　Our Bible Reading today reminds us not to worry about other people. We should trust “in the Lord and wait quietly for his help” (verse 7a). Sometimes it is hard to wait for an answer, but we need to remember that God knows what is best for us. 　Trust God in everything today. —LB “Depend on the Lord.
