聖經中的第一個奧祕是耶穌啟示給我們的，就是「上帝國」的奧祕。耶穌以宣講上帝國的事情來開始祂的事工（馬太福音4:17）。上帝國也被稱為天國。 　在耶穌降生前的許多年，先知但以理就說，上帝要建立一個「永無盡期」的王國（但以理書2:44），而施洗約翰也曾教導關於上帝國的事情，約翰說：「悔改吧，因為天國快實現了！」（馬太福音3:2） 　在今天閱讀的經文中，耶穌描述了上帝國，這個國度裡的子民是那些跟隨並順服耶穌的人。在今天，這個國度就是教會；教會是由許多重生的人所組成的（約翰福音3:3-5）。 　上帝國永無盡期，基督徒的一生以及進入永恆後都是上帝國的一份子，而耶穌將作王掌權直到永遠。 －HLN 「上帝的神蹟多麼偉大！…他的主權永無窮盡；他的統治代代相承！」 但以理書4:3 禱告：主啊，感謝祢使我們能成為祢國度的一份子。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (林威妮譯)

The first mystery of the Bible was revealed to us by Jesus. It is the mystery of the “kingdom of God.” Jesus began His ministry by preaching about the kingdom of God (Matthew 4:17). The kingdom of God is also called the kingdom of heaven. 　Many years before Jesus came to earth, the prophet Daniel said that God would set up a kingdom that would “continue forever” (Daniel 2:44). And John the Baptizer also taught about the kingdom of God. John said, “Change your hearts and lives, because God's kingdom is now very near” (Matthew 3:2). 　In our Bible verses today, Jesus describes the kingdom of God. People in that kingdom are those who follow and obey Jesus. Today this kingdom is the church. The church is made up of people who have been born again (John 3:3-5). 　The kingdom of God will never end. Christians are part of God's kingdom through their lives and into eternity. Then Jesus will rule as king forever and ever. —HLN “God has done amazing miracles...His kingdom continues forever; his rule will continue for all generations.” Daniel 4:3 PRAYER: Lord, thank You that we can be part of Your kingdom.
