大部分要搬新家的人對於將要住在新的地方都會感到興奮。也許他們的新家會有更大的空間或是更靠近工作的地方，但是通常他們不會興奮太久，不久之後他們就會發現新家的缺點而感到不滿意。 　保羅在今天的經文中跟我們談到他的生活。他說有時候他餓肚子，有時候有足夠的食物；他也說他曾經窮困、也曾經富足，但是在所有的患難當中，保羅只要能單單服事上帝就覺得滿足。保羅是如何做到的呢？在第13節經文中，他給了我們答案：「藉著基督所賜的力量，我能夠適應任何情況。」 　而你的生活如何呢？你是否對自己的家、你的工作，或甚至你的配偶感到不滿意呢？你必須倚靠耶穌來幫助你成為知足的人，並幫助你解決所有的問題。 －JF 「我的上帝會照他在基督耶穌裏那豐富的福澤把你們所需要的一切賜給你們。」 腓立比書4:19 禱告：上帝，有時候我會抱怨而且不滿意祢所賜給我的，求祢今天幫助我倚靠祢的力量。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (陳萍萍譯)

Most people who move to a new home are excited about living in a new place. Maybe their new home will have more room or be closer to their job. But often their excitement does not last long. Soon they find things that are wrong with their new home and become dissatisfied. 　Paul tells us in our Bible verses about his life. He says that sometimes he is hungry and other times he has enough to eat. He also says that he has been poor and he has had plenty. But through all the bad times, Paul was satisfied to just be serving God. How did Paul do this? In verse 13 he gives us the answer. “Christ is the one who gives me the strength I need to do whatever I must do.” 　What about your life? Are you dissatisfied with your home, your job or even your spouse? You need to depend on Jesus to help you be content and help you work through your problems. —JF “My God will use his glorious riches to give you everything you need. He will do this through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 PRAYER: God, sometimes I complain and become dissatisfied with what You have given me. Help me to depend on Your strength today.
