Psalm 23
Bible Reading: Psalm 23:1-6
Wednesday, August 21, 2013

Psalm 23 I love to read Psalm 23. When I read these verses, I learn more about God and what He has done for us.
Verse 2 says, “He gives me green pastures to lie in. He leads me by calm pools of water.” This verse reminds me of the wonderful things God has made in the world, like mountains, birds and beautiful sunsets.
Verse 4 says, “Even if I walk through a valley as dark as the grave, I will not be afraid of any danger, because you are with me. Your rod and staff comfort me.” When I am lonely or sad, God helps me feel loved and special.
Verse 6 says, “Your goodness and mercy will be with me all my life, and I will live in the Lord’s house a long, long time.” No matter what happens to me, I know that God will be with me. And He has given me the promise of living forever with Him.
Praise God today for this world, for His comfort and for His promise of eternal life! —PV
“You prepared a meal for me in front of my enemies. You welcomed me as an honored guest. My cup is full and spilling over.” Psalm 23:5
PRAYER: Almighty God, thank You for all You have done for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
