2 Thessalonians (2)
Bible Reading: 2 Thessalonians 1:1-10
Thursday, January 13, 2016

Our Bible verses today are the same verses we studied yesterday. These verses remind me of my mission trip to Africa.
When I took a mission trip to an orphanage in Africa, I learned that there are many people there who hate Christians. They do bad things to Christians and try to keep them from following Jesus.

When Jesus was on earth, people did bad things to Him, too. But He was patient and loving. That is the example I want to follow. When my faith is tested, I want to grow in patience and love.
In James 1:2-4, we are reminded that we should be happy when we face times of persecution. Why? Because we will learn to be patient, mature and complete in Jesus.
Stay faithful to Jesus today, no matter what happens to you. Be patient and loving to other people. —JR*

“God is fair, and he will remember all the work you have done. He will remember that you showed your love to him by helping his people and that you continue to help them. We want each of you to be willing and eager to show your love like that the rest of your life.” Hebrews 6:10-11a
PRAYER: Father, help me to stay faithful to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
