野餐
聖經閱讀：路加福音9:10-17 現代中譯本|合和本

愛荷華州有很多人喜歡在夏天野餐，打包好午餐在後院或停車場享用是一件有趣的事。今天閱讀的經文跟我們談到有一次耶穌、祂的門徒，以及超過5000人在外面一起用餐的故事。 　有一天，很多人跟著耶穌，想要聽祂教導，但是天色已經晚了，那些人也餓了。耶穌的門徒不知道要如何餵飽那麼多人，他們出去找，只找到五個餅和兩條魚。 　耶穌拿起這些食物、感謝上帝，然後就將這些食物分給人們吃，「大家都吃，而且都吃飽了」（第17a節）。耶穌是怎麼餵飽這些人的呢？這是一個神蹟──是用上帝的大能成就的奇事。 　聖經跟我們談到許多上帝為人們成就的美好事情，上帝至今仍然大有能力。就因著祂的大能和力量感謝讚美祂。—JK 「來吧，來看上主的作為；看他在地上所做的奇事。」 詩篇46:8 禱告：天父，我是很軟弱的人，而祢是全能的。謝謝祢天天看顧我們。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Picnics

Many people in Iowa enjoy summer picnics. It is fun to pack a lunch and eat in a backyard or at a park. Our Bible verses tell us about a time when Jesus, His disciples and a group of more than 5000 people ate together outside. 　One day many people followed Jesus and listened to His teaching. It became late, and the people were hungry. Jesus’ disciples did not know how they could feed that many people. They searched and only found fives loaves of bread and two fish. 　Jesus took the food and thanked God for it. Then he gave the food to the people. “They all ate until they were full. And there was a lot of food left.” (verse 17a). How did Jesus feed all those people? It was a miracle — something amazing done with God’s power. 　The Bible tells us about many wonderful things that God has done for His people. God is still very powerful today. Thank Him and praise Him for His power and strength. — JK “Look at the powerful things the Lord has done.
