當差派耶穌到人間時，上帝展現了祂的大能。耶穌，那位宇宙萬物的創造者，祂以一個渺小、無助的嬰孩形象來到世上。只有上帝才能做出像這樣的事情！ 　想一想耶穌來到世上所要面對的改變。祂從那富麗堂皇的天堂來到人間，但是當耶穌出生時，祂卻是躺在一個餵食動物飼料的箱子裡。耶穌並沒有穿著國君的王袍，祂可能只被用一些破布包裹著。 　今天的經文告訴我們當耶穌來到世上所做的事情。第7節告訴我們：「他自願放棄一切，取了奴僕的本質。他成為人，以人的形體出現。」哇，耶穌祂捨棄很多東西來到世上並且為我而死！ 　今天就感謝上帝差派耶穌以人的形象來到世上。 —NW 「他原有上帝的本質，卻沒有濫用跟上帝同等的特權……他成為人，以人的形體出現。他自甘卑微，順服至死，且死在十字架上。」 腓立比書2:6-8a 禱告：天父，謝謝祢差派耶穌來到人間。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

God showed His great power when He sent Jesus to earth. Jesus, the creator of the universe, came to earth in the form of a small helpless baby. Only God could do something like that! 　Think about the changes Jesus faced here on earth. He came to earth from the beauty and splendor of heaven. But when Jesus was born, He was laid in an animal feeding box. Jesus was not wearing the royal robes of a king. He was probably wrapped in strips of old cloth. 　Our Bible Reading tells us what Jesus did when He came to earth. Verse 7 tells us that “he gave up everything, even his place with God. He accepted the role of a servant, appearing in human form.” Wow — Jesus gave up a lot to come and die for me! 　Thank God today for sending Jesus to earth as a man. —NW “He was like God in every way, but he did not think that his being equal with God was something to use for his own benefit...During his life as a man, he humbled himself by being fully obedient to God, even when that caused his death.” Philippians 2:6-8a PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus.
