今天的經文告訴我們上帝的教會被賦予的使命。教會的使命就是出去教導人們認識耶穌、為他們施洗，然後幫助他們再去接觸其他人。當我們這樣做時，我們就是宣教士了，也就是被上帝差派出去分享耶穌福音的人。知道耶穌也是宣教士是一件有趣的事情。耶穌從天上來到人間，祂的目的是尋找失喪的人並拯救他們。我們應該學習耶穌用愛心向人分享上帝信息的榜樣。 作為宣教士並不代表你必須去到別的國家，還有許多住在你附近的人並不認識耶穌。最近我幫一個朋友除院子裡的雜草，這就給了我向他傳講耶穌的機會。 今天就尋找機會成為上帝的宣教士。 —DB* 「他也是『賜恩賜給人』的那一位；他指定有些人作使徒，有些人作先知，有些人傳福音，有些人作牧師或教師。」 以弗所書4:11

Our Bible verses today tell us the mission of God’s church. The mission of the church is to go and teach people about Jesus, baptize them and then help them reach out to other people. When we do this, we are missionaries — people who are sent by God to share the Good News about Jesus. It is interesting to realize that Jesus was a missionary, too. Jesus came from heaven to earth. His purpose was to find lost people and save them. We should follow Jesus’ example of lovingly sharing God’s message with people. Being a missionary doesn’t mean that you have to go to a foreign country. There are many people who live close to you that don’t know about Jesus. Recently I helped a friend cut weeds in his yard. That gave me an opportunity to tell my friend about Jesus. Look for opportunities today to be a missionary for God. —DB* “And that same Christ gave these gifts to people: He made some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to go and tell the Good News, and some to care for and teach God’s people.” Ephesians 4:11
