認識上帝的法則

當我的孩子大到可以騎腳踏車的時候，我做的第一件事就是教他們認識騎車的安全規則。我們從一本書中讀到這些規則，我們談到交通號誌、要注意其他騎士、以及討論到騎車時可能發生的狀況。 　教小孩騎車的安全規則是明智的常識，但是教小孩認識上帝的法則更為重要。如果我們這麼做，我們的兒女就會知道如何順服上帝，而認識上帝的法則會幫助他們在生活中保持安全。 　今天的經文中，上帝向摩西說話，祂告訴摩西一些要分享給以色列民的重要事情。在第6-7節中，上帝說：「今天我向你們頒佈的誡命，你們要放在心裏，殷勤教導你們的兒女。無論在家或出外，休息或工作，都要不斷地溫習這誡命。」 　你有兒女或孫兒女嗎？你有孩子就住在附近嗎？你要教他們上帝的法則並且告訴他們如何生活。 —JK 「服從他藉著我傳達給你們的一切法律誡命。」 申命記6:2b 禱告：上帝，幫助我去教其他人如何順服祢。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (EHI譯/台南聖教會英語團契)

Know God’s Rules

When my children were old enough to ride a bike, the first thing we did was teach them bicycle safety. We read the rules from a book. And we talked about traffic signs, watched other bicyclists and discussed things that can happen while biking. 　Teaching children bicycle rules is good common sense. But it is even more important to teach our children God’s rules. If we do, our children will know how to obey God. Knowing God’s rules will help them stay safe in life. 　In our Bible Reading today, God spoke to Moses. He told Moses important things to share with the Israelites. In verses 6-7, God said, “Always remember these commands that I give to you today. Be sure to teach them to your children. Talk about these commands when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road. Talk about them when you lie down and when you get up.” 　Do you have children or grandchildren? Do you have children in your neighborhood? Teach them God’s rules and show them how to live. —JK “You must obey all his laws and commands that I give you.” Deuteronomy 6:2b PRAYER: God, help me to teach others how to obey You. In Jesus’ name.
