信實的上帝
聖經閱讀：希伯來書10:19-23 現代中譯本|合和本

希伯來書提醒我們，相信上帝和祂的話語是一件很重要的事。在第11章，作者分享了一長串舊約聖經中相信上帝的人物。 　但是今天我希望大家專注在第23節的最後部份：「上帝的應許是可靠的。」我們應該相信上帝，而這個經節告訴我們，上帝對我們是信實的！整本舊約聖經裡，上帝對祂的子民以色列人立下許多應許，而且上帝信守祂的應許，祂說什麼事會發生，就會發生！ 　上帝應許差派「一個人」來為我們的罪受死，那個人就是耶穌，祂願意受死好讓我們的罪可以得赦免。上帝同時應許耶穌會再回來接祂的信徒去跟祂永遠同住，我們可以相信上帝會讓這件事成真！ 　今天就想一想上帝的信實，你要信靠祂來愛你、赦免你。 －JP* 「如果我們向上帝認罪，他是信實公義的，他要赦免我們的罪，洗淨我們所犯的各種過錯。」 約翰一書1:9 禱告：天父，謝謝祢對我信實。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

God is Faithful

The book of Hebrews reminds us that it is very important for us to have faith in God and His Word. In chapter 11, the writer shares a long list of Old Testament people who had faith in God. 　But today I want us to focus on the last part of verse 23. “We can trust God to do what he promised.” We should be faithful to God. But this verse tells us that God is faithful to us! Throughout the Old Testament God made many promises to His people, the Israelites. And God always kept His promises. When He said that something would happen, it happened! 　God made a promise to send Someone to die for our sins. That person was Jesus. He willingly died so that our sins could be forgiven. God has also promised that Jesus will come again to take His followers to live with Him forever. We can trust God to make that happen! 　Think about God’s faithfulness today. Trust Him to love and forgive you. —JP* “But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right.
