好榜樣

為人父母是一個重責大任。父母給小孩吃、給他們穿，並提供一個住的地方，但是父母為孩子做的事不應該只是這些，父母也必須為兒女立一個好的效法榜樣。 　詩篇第51篇的作者請求上帝赦免他的罪並再次潔淨他：「求你除掉我的過犯，因為你有無窮的仁慈。求你清除我的邪惡，洗滌我的罪孽」（第1b-2節）。作父母的一個重要部份是承認我們都犯了罪並請求原諒。 　身為父母，我們必須豎立謙卑和寬恕的好榜樣。當我們犯錯時，就必須承認並請求原諒；當孩子犯錯時，我們必須愛他們、原諒他們。 　今天就透過你的榜樣來讓人看見上帝偉大的愛和寬恕。 －LB 「上帝啊，求你為我造一顆純潔的心；求你賜給我一個又新又忠誠的靈。讓我重新體會你救恩的喜樂，使我的靈甘心樂意順服你。」 詩篇51:10,12 禱告：親愛的上帝，求祢幫助我成為別人效法的好榜樣。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (陳萍萍譯)

Good Example

Being a parent is a huge responsibility. Parents provide food, clothing and shelter for their children. But that’s not all that parents should do for their children. Parents also need to set a good example for their children to follow. 　The writer of Psalm 51 asked God to forgive his sin and make him clean again. “Because of your great compassion, erase all the wrongs I have done. Scrub away my guilt. Wash me clean from my sin” (verses 1b-2). An important part of being a parent is admitting that we sin and asking for forgiveness. 　As parents, we need to set a good example of humility and forgiveness. When we make a mistake, we need to admit it and ask for forgiveness. When our children make mistakes, we need to love them and forgive them. 　Teach someone about God’s great love and forgiveness through your example today. —LB “God, create a pure heart in me, and make my spirit strong again.
