約西亞霍蘭德（1819-1881）是一生做過很多事的人，他當過攝影師、報社編輯，也出版過雜誌，但他最廣為人知的是寫了「空中天使歌唱」這首詩歌。 　這首歌的歌詞是在談耶穌的降生。耶穌以嬰孩的形象來到世上，但祂同時是上帝的兒子和宇宙的君王，「空中天使歌唱，天上景星發光…聖嬰啼不聲揚！」 　今天的經文談到耶穌在伯利恆的降生，耶穌真的是一位君王，但是祂並不像一般君王誕生在宮殿裡：馬利亞「用布包起來，放在馬槽裡」（第7b節）。 　我們記得耶穌以嬰孩的形象來到世上是一件重要的事，但更重要的是知道祂是上帝的兒子以及萬王之王。今天就敬拜讚美祂！ —BH 「那出生要作猶太人的王的在哪裡？我們在東方看見了他的星，特地來朝拜他。」 馬太福音2:2b 禱告：上帝，我以耶穌為我的主、我的王來敬拜祂。奉主的名，阿們！ (王熙瑤譯)

Josiah Holland (1819-1881) was a man who did many things in his life. He was a photographer and a newspaper editor, and he also published a magazine. But he is best-known for writing the words to the Christmas song, “There’s A Song in the Air.” 　The words of this song talk about Jesus’ birth. Jesus came to earth as a baby, but He was also the Son of God and King of the universe. “There’s a song in the air! There’s a star in the sky...For the manger of Bethlehem cradles a King!” 　Our Bible verses today talk about Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem. Jesus was truly a King, but He was not born in a palace like a king. Mary “wrapped him up well and laid him in a box where cattle are fed” (verse 7b). 　It is important for us to remember that Jesus came to earth as a baby. But it is even more important to know that He is God’s Son and King over all kings. Worship and praise Him today! —BH “Where is the child who has been born to be the king of Jews? We saw the star that shows he was born. We saw it rise in the sky in the east and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2b PRAYER: God, I worship Jesus as my Lord and King. In His name. Amen.
