想像一下，如果每個人都能寬容別人的話，那該有多好！如果所有人都是既仁慈又溫和，那麼世界會是什麼樣呢？那會一是個美好的世界！我很感謝知道上帝寬容我。在今天的經文中，有許多次彼得提到上帝寬容人。為什麼上帝要寬容人呢？因為這樣就沒有人會沈淪，上帝希望「人人悔改」（第9b節）。 上帝很愛我們，因此祂願意在我們不順服祂而去犯罪時寬容我們。上帝希望我們認識耶穌並順服祂，上帝要我們向祂尋求赦免並將我們的生命獻給祂。 今天就感謝上帝賜下極大的寬容和仁慈，祈求祂幫助你，當其他人還在學習更認識上帝對他們生命的計劃時，能多寬容他們。 —GT 「在主眼中，千年如一日，一日如千年。主並不像一般人所想的，遲遲不實現他的應許。相反地，他寬容你們；因為他不願意有一個人沉淪。」 彼得後書3:8b-9a

God is Patient

Imagine how nice it would be if all people were patient. Imagine what the world would be like if all people were kind and gentle. That would be a wonderful world! I am so thankful to know that God is patient with me. Several times in our verses today, Peter says that God is patient. Why is God patient? So that no person will be lost. God wants “everyone to change their ways and stop sinning” (verse 9b). God loves us so much that He is willing to be patient while we disobey Him and sin. God hopes that we will learn about Jesus and obey Him. God wants us to ask Him for forgiveness and give our lives to Him. Thank God today for His great patience and kindness. Ask Him to help you be patient with other people as they learn more about His plan for their lives. —GT “To the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord is not being slow in doing what he promised — the way some people understand slowness. But God is being patient with you. He doesn't want anyone to be lost.”2 Peter 3:8b-9a
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being so patient with me. And thank You for salvation through Jesus. In His name. Amen. |
