不被定罪

羅馬書第8章告訴我們一些從上帝而來的應許，今天我們讀的經文告訴我們，「如今，那些在基督耶穌裏的就不定罪了」（第1節）。這是一個美好的應許！ 　上帝賜下祂的律法給猶太人，但是這個律法並不能除罪並拯救他們，所以「上帝差遣自己的兒子，使他有了跟我們人相同的罪性，為要宣判人性裏面的罪，把罪除去」（第3b節）。上帝的兒子就是耶穌，因為耶穌的犧牲，「使法律的正當要求實現在我們這些不服從本性、只順服聖靈的人身上」（第4b節）。 　當我們決定跟隨並順服耶穌時，上帝就賜給我們聖靈；當我們做錯事時，聖靈會告訴我們，並引導我們回轉向上帝。如果我們讓聖靈來掌管我們，我們就得到新生命和平安。 　今天就感謝上帝賜下祂的應許。因著你藉著耶穌基督而擁有的自由、赦免和平安而讚美祂！ —DVH* 「意向於本性就是死；意向於聖靈就有生命和平安。」 羅馬書8:6 禱告：天父，謝謝祢賜下祢的兒子耶穌，以及那所有美好的應許。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (陳美婷譯)

Romans, chapter 8, shows us some promises from God. Our verses today tell us that “anyone who is in Christ Jesus is not judged guilty” (verse 1). That is a wonderful promise! 　God gave His law to the Jews. But that law could not destroy sin and save them. “So God used a human life to destroy sin” (verse 3b). That human life was God’s Son, Jesus. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we don’t have to live “following our sinful selves. We live following the Spirit” (verse 4b). 　When we choose to follow and obey Jesus, God gives us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit shows us when we do something wrong and guides us back to God. If we allow the Holy Spirit to control us, we receive new life and peace. 　Thank God today for His promises. Praise Him for the freedom, forgiveness and peace that you have through Jesus Christ! —DVH* “If your thinking is controlled by your sinful self, there is spiritual death.
