特別的時刻

耶穌誕生的那一個晚上是一個非常特別的時刻。有時候，我好奇想知道那一晚的天空看起來是什麼樣子，天上是不是佈滿了閃亮的星星？月亮是不是很明亮？ 　今天的經文告訴我們，是牧羊人最先知道上帝兒子降生的事情，天使告訴他們：「不要害怕！我有好消息告訴你們；這消息要帶給萬民極大的喜樂。今天，在大衛的城裏，你們的拯救者─主基督已經誕生了！」(第10-11節)。我不知道當牧羊人看見眾天使在讚美上帝時，他們的感受是什麼。 　基督徒都期待著另一個特別的時刻，就是當耶穌再來的時候。帖撒羅尼迦前書4:16告訴我們那一刻將會是什麼樣的情形：「因為，主的命令一下，天使長一喊，上帝的號筒一響，主本身要從天上降下」。 　今天，因著很久以前耶穌的降世，並且有一天祂將必再來，讓我們一起來讚美上帝！ —PD 「牧羊人回去，為他們所聽見所看到的事讚美歌頌上帝，因為所發生的事跟天使所告訴他們的相符。」 路加福音2:20 禱告：上帝，因著祢賜下獨生愛子，我要讚美祢。奉主的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Special Time

The night that Jesus was born was a very special time. Sometimes I wonder what the sky looked like that night. Were there lots of bright stars? Was the moon shining brightly? 　Our Bible Reading tells us that the shepherds were the first people to know about the birth of God’s Son. The angel told them, “Don’t be afraid. I have some very good news for you — news that will make everyone happy. Today your Savior was born in David’s town. He is the Messiah, the Lord” (verses 10-11). I wonder how the shepherds felt as they watched the angels praising God. 　Christians look forward to another special time when Jesus will come again. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 tells us what that time will be like. “The Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet call of God.” 　Let’s praise God today that Jesus came to earth long ago and that He will come again someday! —PD “The shepherds went back to their sheep, praising God and thanking him for everything they had seen and heard.
