等候上帝

現今每個人似乎都很匆忙。他們希望有更快的車、更快的溝通聯繫方式，以及有更快的方法來準備食物。沒有人想要等待！ 　許多人甚至忙到沒有時間每天跟上帝相處，當他們真的有一些安靜的時間，他們也只是快速地讀完靈修文章和其中的經文，然後又繼續忙下一個工作。如果我們真的希望上帝使用我們、祝福我們，我們就必須放慢腳步並且等候祂。 　「等候上帝」是什麼意思呢？它的意思也許是要用更多時間讀經或禱告，也許是我們應該慢慢地安靜等候上帝用祂的愛來充滿我們、鼓勵我們，或是告訴我們問題的解決方法。 　今天的詩篇列出上帝為祂的子民，以色列人，所預備的方法。第20節總結說：「我們的心向來等候耶和華；他是我們的幫助，是我們的盾牌。」今天就等候上帝，祂知道什麼是對你最好的，並且你可以永遠倚靠祂！ —LL 「耶和華的眼目看顧敬畏他的人和仰望他慈愛的人。」 詩篇33:18 禱告：上帝，謝謝祢知道什麼是對我最好的。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (陳美婷譯)

Everyone today seems to be in a hurry. They want faster cars, faster ways to communicate and faster ways to prepare their food. No one wants to wait! 　Many people are even too busy to spend time with God every day. When they do have some quiet time, they hurry through their devotion and Bible reading and move on to their next task. If we truly want God to use us and bless us, we need to slow down and wait for Him. 　What does waiting for God mean? Maybe this means spending more time praying or reading the Bible. Or maybe it means that we should just take time to wait quietly for God to fill us with His love, encourage us or show us the solution to our problem. 　Our psalm today lists ways that God provided for His people, the Israelites. In conclusion, verse 20 says, “...we will wait for the Lord. He helps us and protects us.” Wait for God today. He knows what is best for you, and you can always depend on Him! —LL “The Lord watches over his followers, those who wait for him to show his faithful love.” Psalm 33:18 PRAYER: God, thank You for knowing what is best for me.
