今天是12月的第一天，聖誕節就快到了。這個月你和家人也許會有很多活動以及歡樂的時光，我要鼓勵你務必讓這個月你所做的每件事都表現出聖誕節的真正意義──上帝的兒子，耶穌的誕生。 　我的朋友帕姆(Pam)，她喜歡去告訴人慶祝聖誕節的真正原因。她說，聖誕節的燈使她想起那顆引導東方博士找到耶穌並敬拜祂的星。帕姆唱的聖誕歌讓她可以頌讚耶穌的降生，而她送給別人的禮物則幫助她記得東方博士送給耶穌的禮物。 　今天的經文告訴我們一部份耶穌誕生的故事。當你慶祝聖誕節時，要確定你的活動是讓人看見上帝的愛，以及祂的奇妙救贖計畫。－AD 「他們進了屋子，看見小孩子和他的母親馬利亞，就俯伏朝拜這孩子，然後打開寶盒，拿出黃金、乳香、沒藥等禮物獻給他。」 馬太福音2:11 禱告：天父，請幫助我專注在聖誕節的真正意義上。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (陳萍萍譯)

Today is the 1st of December. Soon Christmas will be here. This month may be filled with lots of activities and fun times for you and your family. I encourage you to make sure that everything you do this month will show the true meaning of Christmas — the birth of God’s Son, Jesus. 　My friend, Pam, loves to show other people the real reason for celebrating Christmas. She says that Christmas lights remind her of the star that led the wise men to find Jesus and worship Him. The Christmas songs that Pam sings allow her to praise God for Jesus’ birth. The presents that she gives to others help her remember the gifts that the wise men gave to Jesus. 　Our Bible verses today tell us part of the story of Jesus’ birth. As you celebrate Christmas, be sure that your activities show other people about God’s love and His wonderful plan of salvation. —AD “The wise men came to the house where the child was with Mary. They bowed down and worshiped him...They gave him treasures of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” Matthew 2:11 PRAYER: Father, help me to focus on the real meaning of Christmas. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
