正確的道路

這個世界充斥著許多教導人尋求平安和永生的宗教，信奉這些宗教的人認為他們走在正確的道路上。 　我讀過一個故事，是關於一個母親和她的小嬰兒。有一個可怕的洪水侵襲並摧毀了他們的農作物，這個母親認為會發生洪水是因為她崇拜的神生氣了，所以她就將小嬰兒獻祭給那個神。這個母親認為自已走在正確的道路上。 　但是，那唯一通往平安和永生的正確道路是要經由耶穌，今天的經文告訴我們耶穌的門徒如何走在正確的道路上。彼得告訴他們該做什麼才能領受耶穌奇妙的救恩禮物：「彼得告訴他們：『你們每一個人都要悔改，並且要奉耶穌基督的名受洗，好使你們的罪得到赦免，你們就會領受上帝所賜的聖靈。』」(第38節) 　就倚靠上帝和祂的話語來尋找通往平安和永生的正確道路。 —JA* 「許多人領受了他的信息，並接受洗禮；那一天信徒約增加了三千人。」 使徒行傳2:41 禱告：主，謝謝祢，因祢是那唯一真實的上帝。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Right Way

The world is full of religions that teach about finding peace and eternal life. The people who follow these religions think they are following the right way. 　I read a story about a mother and her baby. A terrible flood came and destroyed their crops. The mother thought that the flood happened because the god she worshiped was angry. So she sacrificed her baby to that god. This mother thought she was following the right way. 　But the only right way to peace and eternal life is through Jesus. Our Bible Reading today tells us how Jesus’ disciples followed the right way. Peter told them what to do so they could accept Jesus’ wonderful gift of salvation. “Peter said to them, ‘Change your hearts and lives and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Then God will forgive your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit’” (verse 38). 　Depend on God and His Word to find the right way to peace and eternal life. —JA* “Then those people who accepted what Peter said were baptized. On that day about 3000 people were added to the group of believers.” Acts 2:41 PRAYER: Lord, thank You for being the only true God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
