Most of our Bible verses today are words that Paul spoke to people in the city of Antioch. 　In this sermon, Paul talked about the Israelites traveling from Egypt to Canaan. He also talked about people from the Old Testament — Samuel, Saul and King David. Paul shared these things with the people and then told them about Jesus. 　We can read the New Testament and learn about Jesus and His plan of salvation. But when we read and study the Old Testament, too, we learn that it is the foundation for the New Testament. Reading the prophecies in the Old Testament helps us know more about Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. 　Some people only read the New Testament. But I encourage you to read and study the Old Testament, too. Share the Old Testament stories with others so that they can learn about God’s wonderful plan for their lives. —SH* “We tell you the Good News about the promise God made to our ancestors.
