Hope and Comfort

Our Bible Reading today is part of a letter that Paul wrote to the Christians in the city of Thessalonica. In these verses, Paul reminded the Thessalonians about God’s love and salvation for them. 　Paul also reminded them that their salvation came “by the Spirit making you holy by your faith in the truth” (verse 13b). And Paul told these Christians that God chose them “so that you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ” (verse 14b). 　Next, Paul encouraged the Thessalonian Christians. “So, brothers and sisters, stand strong and continue to believe the teachings we gave you when we were there and by letter” (verse 15). Finally, Paul reminded these people about God’s love, grace, hope and comfort. 　If you are a Christian, you have all these wonderful blessings that Paul talked about.
