患難

今天的經文告訴我們，耶穌和祂的門徒在湖上的一艘船裡，「湖上忽然颳起大風，波浪沖擊，浪花打進小船，船幾乎灌滿了水」（第37節）。 　當颳大風的時候，耶穌在哪裡呢？「當時耶穌在船尾，靠著枕頭睡著了」（第38a節）。耶穌的門徒害怕被水淹死，所以就叫醒耶穌。接著，耶穌起來命令風浪靜下來，然後「風就停住，湖面平靜下來」（第39b節）。 　有時候我們的感受也許就像跟耶穌一起在船上的門徒一樣，當遇到困難時，我們會感到不知所措。不要嘗試獨自一個人去解決問題，我們反而必須信靠耶穌來幫助我們。 　今天你所面對的困難是什麼呢？失業嗎？開銷太大嗎？車子壞了嗎？不管有什麼困難，你都可以倚靠耶穌，祂會幫助你並賜給你力量。 －DJH* 「大家非常驚奇，彼此說：『這個人究竟是誰，連風和浪都聽從他！』」 馬太福音8:27 禱告：天父，謝謝祢幫助我並賜給我力量。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (陳萍萍譯)

Our Bible Reading tells us that Jesus and His followers were in a boat on the lake. “A very bad wind came up on the lake. The waves were coming over the sides and into the boat, and it was almost full of water” (verse 37). 　Where was Jesus when the wind was blowing so hard? “Jesus was inside the boat, sleeping with his head on a pillow” (verse 38a). Jesus’ followers were afraid that they would drown, so they woke Jesus. Then Jesus stood up and commanded the wind and water to be quiet. “Then the wind stopped, and the lake became calm” (verse 39b). 　Sometimes we may feel like the disciples in the boat with Jesus. We are facing troubles, and we feel overwhelmed. Instead of trying to solve our problems alone, we need to trust Jesus to help us. 　What troubles are you facing today? Lost your job? Too many bills? Car broken? No matter what troubles you have, you can depend on Jesus. He will help you and give you strength. —DJH* “The men were amazed. They said, ‘What kind of man is this?
