有三個使徒非常親近耶穌──彼得、雅各、和約翰，這三個人能跟耶穌一起看見並聽見特別的事情。在馬可福音3:17中，雅各和他的弟弟約翰被稱為「雷子」，這也許是在說雅各和約翰是容易生氣的人。 　在今天的經文中，一些撒馬利亞人不接受耶穌，雅各和約翰就說（第54b節）：「主啊，你要我們呼喚天上的火來燒滅他們嗎？」第55節說，耶穌責備雅各和約翰說了這話。 　在那個時候，雅各和約翰必須學習的是包容和寬恕，而耶穌幫助他們兩人改變，雅各和約翰後來都成為傳講耶穌的勇敢佈道家。 　有時候人們會惹我們生氣，我們不應該想要去對他們做壞事，而應該跟隨耶穌寬恕的榜樣。今天，就讓耶穌掌管你的生命並改變你。 －DF 「但是我告訴你們，向弟兄動怒的，也應受裁判」 馬太福音5:22a 禱告：上帝，我願對人包容和寬恕，請幫助我控制情緒。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Three apostles were very close to Jesus — Peter, James and John. These three men were able to see and hear special things with Jesus. In Mark 3:17, James and his brother, John, are called “Sons of Thunder.” This may mean that James and John were quick to become angry. 　In our Bible verses today, some people in Samaria would not accept Jesus. James and John said (verse 54b), “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven and destroy those people?” Verse 55 says that Jesus criticized James and John for saying that. 　At that time, James and John needed to learn about patience and forgiveness. Jesus helped them both change. James and John became bold preachers for Jesus. 　Sometimes people make us angry. We should not want to do bad things to those people. We should follow Jesus’ example of forgiveness. Let Jesus control your life and change you today. —DF “But I tell you, don’t be angry with anyone. If you are angry with others, you will be judged.” Matthew 5:22a PRAYER: God, I want to be patient and forgiving. Help me to control my temper. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
