遠離罪惡

今天的聖經閱讀告訴我們關於大衛王的故事，他本來應該率領軍隊上戰場，但是，他卻待在家裡。有一天晚上，他在他家的屋頂上散步，看到一個女人正在洗澡；大衛就跟這個女人同房並叫人殺了她的丈夫。如果大衛有去做他應該做的事情，他絕不會面臨這個誘惑而犯了罪。 　我們經常會受到誘惑，因為我們身處在不該在的地方，或是正在做自認沒有人會知道的事。但是身為基督徒，我們是「蒙揀選的種族，……上帝的子民」 (彼得前書2:9a)。如果我們是屬上帝的子民，我們就應該努力避開誘惑。 　想一想你的生命，什麼時候你會被誘惑去犯罪？當你在網路上到處看的時候，或是當你跟未信主的朋友在一起的時候，你是否受到誘惑？請努力避開這些地方或狀況，讓你自己忙於遵從和服事上帝。—BL 「上帝選召你們離開黑暗，進入他輝煌的光明，來宣揚他奇妙的作為。」 彼得前書2:9b 禱告：上帝，請幫助我專心遵從祢並遠離罪惡。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (KCC譯/台南聖教會英語團契)

Stay Away from Sin

Our Bible Reading today tells us about King David. He was supposed to lead his army into battle. Instead, he stayed home. One night he walked on the roof of his house and saw a woman bathing. David slept with this woman and had her husband killed. If David had been doing what he was supposed to do, he would never have faced this temptation and sinned. 　Often we are tempted because we are someplace where we should not be or doing things that we think are hidden. But as Christians, we are “chosen people...people who belong to God” (1 Peter 2:9a). If we belong to God, we should try to avoid temptation. 　Think about your life. When are you tempted to sin? Are you tempted when you are looking around on the Internet or when you are with non-Christian friends? Try to avoid these places or circumstances. Keep yourself busy obeying and serving God. —BL “[God]chose you to tell about the wonderful things he has done.
