在今天的聖經閱讀中，耶穌遇到一個被很多污靈附身的人，耶穌把這些污靈從那人身上趕出來，然後那人回到家就「開始在十邑地區傳揚耶穌在他身上所做的事；聽見的人沒有不驚奇的。」(第20b節) 　也許你會認為，污靈只有當耶穌住在世上的時候才活動，但其實魔鬼和牠的污靈一直都忙著引誘人去犯罪。彼得前書5:8告訴我們：「要警醒戒備！你們的仇敵─魔鬼正像咆哮的獅子走來走去，搜索可吞吃的人。」 　身為基督徒，我們有聖靈幫助我們抵擋魔鬼。保羅在以弗所書第6章中鼓勵我們，要穿戴上帝的軍裝作為保護來抵抗魔鬼，「好在險惡的日子裏能夠抵抗敵人的攻擊，戰鬥到底，始終守住陣地。」(第13b節) 　就讓上帝的大能來幫助你扺擋魔鬼和牠的污靈。今天你要倚靠上帝和祂的話語。 —SH* 「所以，你們要順服上帝；要抗拒魔鬼，魔鬼就會逃避。」 雅各書4:7 禱告：上帝，我要穿戴祢的軍裝來抵擋魔鬼。奉耶穌的名，阿們！ (EHI譯/台南聖教會英語團契)

In our Bible Reading today, Jesus met a man who had many evil spirits. Jesus sent the evil spirits out of the man. Then the man went home and told people “about the great things Jesus did for him. Everyone was amazed” (verse 20b). 　Maybe you think that evil spirits were only active when Jesus lived on earth. But the devil and his evil spirits are always very busy trying to get people to sin. 1 Peter 5:8 tells us, “Control yourselves and be careful! The devil is your enemy, and he goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and eat.” 　As Christians, we have the Holy Spirit to help us resist the devil. Paul encourages us in Ephesians, chapter 6, to wear God’s armor as protection against the devil. “Then on the day of evil, you will be able to stand strong. And when you have finished the whole fight, you will still be standing” (Ephesians 6:13b). 　Let God’s power help you resist the devil and his evil spirits. Depend on God and His Word today. —SH* “So give yourselves to God. Stand against the devil, and he will run away from you.” James 4:7 PRAYER: Lord, I want to wear Your armor and resist the devil.
