準備好要認識「盼望」的另一個定義了嗎？就在這裡！「盼望」意指「一切的期待專注交託在的某個人身上或某事物上」。對基督徒來說，我們將盼望或期待交託的「那一位」是指上帝。在這世上生活是具有挑戰性的，有時候，我們也許會將希望寄託在別人身上，但是有時候，我們不能倚靠人。人並不完美，人會犯錯，他們有可能會讓我們失望。我們也不應該把希望寄託在事物上，這世界的事物並不會永遠存在。 上帝是唯一完美的「那一位」，我們可以倚靠祂。上帝不會犯錯，而且祂是永恆的。 今天就評估一下你的生命，你的盼望在哪裡？什麼人或事物是你盼望的根基？你的盼望是否在上帝裡面？我希望是這樣！ —CPE* 「對那些今世富足的人，你要警戒他們不可驕傲。不要把希望寄託在不可靠的財物上，而要倚靠那把萬物豐豐富富地賜給我們享受的上帝。」 提摩太前書6:17
禱告：親愛的上帝，我不想要相信並倚靠世界的事物，我的盼望在祢裡面！奉耶穌的名，阿們！

Ready for another definition of hope? Here it is! Hope means “a person or thing in which expectations are centered.” For Christians, the “person” we put our hope, or expectation, in is God. It can be challenging to live in this world. Sometimes we may put our hope in other people. But sometimes we cannot rely on people. People are not perfect. People make mistakes. They may disappoint us. We also should not put our hope in things. Things of this world do not last forever. God is the only ONE who is perfect. We can rely on Him. God does not make mistakes. And He is eternal. Evaluate your life today. Where is your hope? What person or thing is your hope based on? Is your hope in God? I hope so! —CPE* “Give this command to those who are rich with the things of this world. Tell them not to be proud. Tell them to hope in God, not in their money. Money cannot be trusted, but God takes care of us richly. He gives us everything to enjoy.” 1 Timothy 6:17
PRAYER: Dear God, I do not want to trust and rely on things of this world. My hope is in You! In Jesus’ name. Amen. |
