讚美耶穌

我的孩子還小的時候，在聖誕日的那一天，所有的禮物會在早上9點前拆封，然後到了新年的第一天，我會拿掉所有的節日裝飾品。看起來聖誕節已經結束了，但是，身為基督徒，我們應當整年都讚美耶穌。 　聖誕節是慶祝救主誕生的日子。耶穌是童貞女馬利亞所生，在今天的經文閱讀中，我們讀到天使告訴約瑟要將嬰孩取名叫耶穌：「你要給他取名叫耶穌，因為他將拯救他的子民脫離他們的罪」（第21b節）。 　2,000多年前，上帝賜下祂的兒子耶穌給世人。耶穌比任何我們希望得到的禮物都還要好，透過耶穌的死和復活，我們擁有了永生的應許，這是我們要永遠慶賀的事情！ 　我們在十二月慶祝耶穌的誕生，但是要記得整年中的每一天都要慶祝祂的救恩禮物。 —SAH 「因為罪的代價是死亡；但是上帝所賜白白的恩典是讓我們在主基督耶穌的生命裡得到永恆的生命。」 羅馬書6:23 禱告：天父，我讚美那奇妙的禮物──祢的兒子。奉主的名，阿們！ (尤榮輝譯)

Celebrate Jesus

On Christmas Day, when my children were small, all the gifts would be unwrapped by 9 a.m. Then by New Year's Day, I would put away all the holiday decorations. It looked like Christmas was over. But, as Christians, we should celebrate Jesus all year long. 　Christmas is the celebration of the birth of our Savior. Jesus was born to the virgin, Mary. In our Bible verses today, we read that the angel told Joseph to name the baby Jesus. “Give him that name because he will save his people from their sins” (verse 21b). 　Over 2,000 years ago, God gave His Son, Jesus, to the world. Jesus is better than any gift we could ever hope to receive. Through Jesus' death and resurrection we have the promise of eternal life. That is something that we should always celebrate! 　Celebrate Jesus' birth this December. But remember to celebrate His gift of salvation every day of the year. —SAH “When people sin, they earn what sin pays — death.
