今天的經文閱讀告訴我們，馬利亞去探訪伊利莎白時，她用全心讚美上帝。馬利亞非常開心，稱上帝是她的救主。馬利亞對於上帝揀選她懷了耶穌心存謙卑，馬利亞敬重上帝，這讓她感到歡喜。以賽亞書7:14說：「主要親自賜給你們一個記號：有閨女要懷孕生子，並要給他取名『以馬內利』」，「以馬內利」的意思是「上帝與我們同在」。這節經文是在談馬利亞生下耶穌。 在這個假期中，我們應該為上帝所賜的各樣祝福來感謝讚美祂，我們不只要因著所擁有的東西而心存感謝，我們也要因著家人、朋友，以及能自由敬拜上帝而感謝。 —JB*

Our Bible verses today tell us that Mary praised God with all her heart while she was visiting Elizabeth. Mary was very happy, and she called God her “Savior.” Mary was humbled that God would choose her to carry baby Jesus in her womb. Mary respected God and this made her happy. Isaiah 7:14 says, “But the Lord will still show you this sign: The young woman is pregnant and will give birth to a son. She will name him Immanuel.” The word Immanuel means “God with us.” This verse is talking about Mary giving birth to Jesus. During this holiday time, we should praise and thank God for His many blessings to us. We should not just be thankful for things we have. We should also be thankful for our families and friends and that we have the freedom to worship God. —JB*
