誕生的故事 (13)

　每一個嬰孩都會有一個名字，在一些文化中，孩子出生前名字就取好了，但在一些地方，孩子要等到一歲才取名字。
耶穌的名字是上帝取的，在耶穌出生的很多年前，上帝透過先知以賽亞說話。在今天閱讀的經文中，以賽亞說：「主要親自賜給你們一個記號：有閨女要懷孕生子，並要給他取名『以馬內利』。」
「以馬內利」是一個特別的名字，意思是「上帝與我們同在」。上帝稱呼耶穌為「以馬內利」，耶穌以一個人類嬰孩的形象出生，好讓祂可以教導和醫治人們，並且預備他們進入上帝的國度。
上帝差派耶穌到世上，好讓我們可以擁有一個與祂的永恆關係。耶穌死在十架上來赦免我們的罪，當我們相信耶穌並遵行祂的話語時，就可以擁有與上帝的永恆關係。當你預備慶祝上帝愛子的誕生時，就想一想這一點吧！ —GT

　Every baby is given a name. In some cultures, names are chosen before the baby is born. In other places, babies aren’t given names until they are one year old.
Jesus' name was chosen by God. Many years before Jesus' birth, God spoke through the prophet Isaiah. In our Bible Reading, Isaiah said, “But the Lord will still show you this sign: The young woman is pregnant and will give birth to a son. She will name him Immanuel.”
“Immanuel” is a special name. It means “God with us.” God called Jesus “Immanuel.” Jesus was born in a human body so that He could teach and heal people and prepare them for God's kingdom.
God sent Jesus so that we can have an eternal relationship with Him. Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins. When we believe in Jesus and obey God's Word, we can have that eternal relationship with God. Think about this as you prepare to celebrate the birth of God's Son. —GT
